Alpha Squad: Evolution

Chapter 3

-Paleum Fassalus POV-

WOW. That's all I thought when entering his base. There were so many devices and screens with probably classified information. The room we entered was larger than anything I had ever seen. In the middle was a large computer the size of a very large Beartic. A very red USB with eyes was plugged into it. What was most surprising was the fact that the USB spoke.

"BBZRRZT... WELCOME BACK AGENT 17. I HAVE JUST FINISH... WHAT ARE THESE CHILDREN DOING HERE ZZzZZzzZZz???" Screamed a voice from the USB.

"Whoa, Rotom. Calm down. They're just kids. They got attacked so we're gonna help them." Said Oggi.

"BZRT... DID AGENT 96 HAVE ANY SAY IN THIS? I THINK NOT. WAIT TILL HE RETURNS FROM HIS STAKE-OUT AND THEN WE"LL TALK ABOUT THIS. NOW I WAS ABOUT TO TELL YOU THAT I HAVE DECODED THIS USB AND WAS GOING TO ASK IF I COULD GO BACK TO THE POKÉ BALL. I'M BORED ZzzZZzzzZzzZzz" replied the Rotom.

"Fine. Just send the decoded version to the main computer. We'll talk when Vulgo's back." Said Oggi in a very resigned voice. He looked back at us and said "Sorry. That's Rotom. He mostly lives inside the devices but every once in a while, he decides to go to his poke ball. Vulgo's my partner. He's coded as Agent 96. Sometimes he works as a Bounty Hunter to hunt down enemies of the Region. He mostly operates in the Main Regions. Right now, he's in a region called Kalos."

"That sounds cool and all but what about us? What should we do right now? We want to help you guys. It's the least we can do." Said Crimson with a determined look on his face.

"Well, you can start by telling me and about the guys that attacked you. What did they wear? What kind of Pokémon do they have?" asked Oggi.

"They wore black uniforms with a big "C" shape on the front patterned with stars." Replied Melody. She apparently had a really keen eye because all I saw was "kidnapping thief with powerful Pokémon". That was true as well but not a good description. "Their Pokémon that they used were a Metagross, Aggron and Salazle." Continued Melody.

"Black Uniform? Stars and a patterned "C"? Steel and Poison type Pokémon? Sounds like Team Cosmos." Replied the Agent with a grave look.

"Tea... Team Cosmos?" stammered Crimson. He had gone whiter than a White-Kyurem-Overdrive. "We have to help then! They took Professor Oak, Paleum's parents and our friends! Let us help!"

"I don't know about this. We can't have kids putting themselves in danger. It's too dangerous for you." Replied Oggi.

"Let us! Please! We want to help! We want our friends back!" pleaded Crimson. I fell into a dark void of despair. This guy was telling us to abandon our friends and family and leave them in the hands of a criminal organization. No way in heck could we do that!

"Fine. We'll talk when my partner's back. He should be back in a week. In the meantime, you should stay here. Maybe train in the battlefield downstairs. Try have a battle. I am experienced in healing Pokémon." Replied Oggi. Disappointed, we walked off down the stairs. Our disappointment disappeared the moment we saw the gigantic training field.

-POV change: Crimson Aquilon-

Team Cosmos. Why was it so familiar? Why did the name sound so terrifying to me? I couldn't think why. I tried not to think while training with my Pokémon. We had around four moves each for our Pokémon but there wasn't a limit so we were gonna keep training. Riolu had Vacuum Wave, Bite, Quick Attack, and Double Team. Gible had Crunch, Sandstorm, Earth Power and Outrage. Charmeleon, my first Pokémon, had Flamethrower, Dragon Rage, Slash and Dig.

Melody had 3 Pokémon. Honedge, Ferroseed and Scyther. Her Honedge had Shadow Claw, Iron Head, Close Combat and Swords Dance. Ferroseed had Leech Seed, Endure, Stealth Rock and Protect. Scyther had Quick Attack, Dual Wingbeat, Bug Bite and Swords Dance. Paleum's Tyrunt had Crunch, Earth Power, Roar and Dragon Tail. His Craniados, which actually evolved into a Rampardos during our first training session, had Head Smash, Iron Head, High Horsepower and Dragon Tail. We were getting pretty strong. Me and Melody were going to test this with a battle. Three on three.
