Saturday ~ fp3/ qualifying
"Alright Olivia that's p6, p6 we'll done" Richard said as I crossed the line once again.
I smacked my hands against the wheel as hard as possible. Fuxking p6 at my home race?
I need to do better in qualifying if I want to actually make mum proud.
I drove into the garage and was met by everyone's smiles. I know to them p6 was good for me after my accident but it wasn't for me. It wasn't for mum.
It almost as if I could feel her disappointment. I jumped out the car and walked into my drivers room with my helmet still on as a way to brick the tears that's were forming.
"Sorry mum" I said grabbing the crystal around my neck. A tear stung my check as it feel.
I must say I may of been over exaggerating but I couldn't help it. It was my only time to make mum proud.
I took my helmet off and wiped the tears that had feel.
Be strong for mum. I said to myself before walking out only to come face to face will Ollie, who I instantly wrapped his arms around me and I returned the gesture.
"I race in 10 you coming" he said pointing out the garage.
"I wouldn't miss it" I said before following him away to his garage. It was a long ish walk from one side of the paddock to the other but I didn't mind. Ollie supports me more than I support him. And it's time I return everything he's done.
"Alright" he said walking into the garage. "You can stay on the pit wall. If you want anything ask Mike" he said before walking off and I took my place
*******
The race started and Ollie started on pole. They had there qualifying yesterday so ollie wasn't able to come out on the boat trip so I had to fill him in on all the drama.
"Alright ollie watch out for Theo he's 1.5 behind"mike said beside me.
Ollie had a great reaction time so he was able to stay ahead and by the looks of it, by quite a bit.
I probably had the biggest smile on my face the whole race. But I couldn't help it. Watching my best friend so amazing was sensational. Oliver bearman. You deserve it.
*Lando Norris*
"Where's Liv" I said walking to the garage. It was completely silent and no one said a word.
After my p5 and Olivia p6 it wasn't the best result but I guess it was alright.
"She's in the prema garage at the moment" Leo said while walking past me. I just shrugged and walked over to Sam.
"Any updates? room for improvement? Anything" I said trying to start a conversation with a absolutely anyone. Sam just sighed.
"Other than going faster on the straights, not a lot" he said before walking away. Why was everyone in some sh!tty mood today.
I walked out the garage and ran over to the dams pin wall where I saw chalres sitting there accompanied but the rest of the team.
"You alright" I said as I sat beside them. Charles smiled at me but very one else looked confused but I just ignored them.
I couldn't help myself but steal glances over to the prema pit wall where Olivia was seated.
The smile on her face could light up the whole world.
Her nose seems to crinkle every time her lips snot up.
Suddenly she looked at me and we made eye contact. Neither of us dared to break away. Suddenly someone called she's name causing her to look away.
As she done so my heart melted.
Olivia gallo would be the death of me.
********
It was about the 30 lap when I saw Liv throw her arms up and start screaming and shouting. Everyone around her threw there arms around her and probably squeezed the living daylights out of her.
Ollie had been able to hole p1 for the whole race and had coke back with the win.
No wonder Olivia was so happy. I saw a disappointed look on Charles face. I looked at the screen and saw why. Arthur ~ 17th
I put a hand on his shoulder and smiled down at him. I know Arthur was a great driver and would get far but it was his rookie season and Charles can be disappointed he done his best.
Once again I looked over at Olivia but she alright had her eyes on me.
Her smile was like a match. You have to scarce the surface to see the true flame.
