Meeting Anakin

Alexandra Skywalker was no ordinary two-year-old. She was a Jedi Knight and she was about to meet her father for the first time. The Famous Anakin Skywalker; being only seventeen he didn't really know that Alexandra was his biological daughter, but that would all be explained later.

She was nervous. Not that she knew why, she had done much more dangerous and problematic things than this and had been level-headed as ever then. Maybe it was the fact that she knew about the prophecy surrounding him, or the questionable entry into the Jedi Order he had. Whatever it was that made her so nervous, it didn't really matter, what mattered was that she was finally getting to meet him.

Like Master Yoda, Alexandra made her way around in a floating chair that brought her up to the appropriate height as her companions. As she, Master Yoda and Master Windu made their way through the temple, she could see the younglings watching them from behind a column. Now that she was old enough to do so, she would play with the younglings in her free time. As she had spent the last week or so away, she had promised to play with them today. That was before she knew she was going to meet Anakin. She made a mental note to go find those younglings and play with them later today.

They entered the council chambers where Obi-Wan stood with Anakin, his padawan. Anakin was only seventeen, yet he was almost a head taller than Obi-Wan.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Skywalker," Alexandra said, her voice may have sounded young, but she also sounded experienced and mature.

"You too," Anakin said as he bowed his head to them.

"Kenobi," Master Windu said, "I trust your latest mission went well?"

"It did," Kenobi answered. "Thanks to Anakin."

"Oh, really?" Alexandra replied, looking between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

"Yes, if it weren't for Anakin, we would never have gotten out of the trap I got us in."

"My Master is too humble," Anakin jumped in, "if it weren't for his training I never would have known how to get out of that trap."

"Well, it is impressive, regardless," Alexandra said. "Anakin, I am sure I will have a better chance to get to know you better, but I made a promise to some younglings that I intend to keep."

"Of course, you mustn't keep them waiting behind that column much longer," Master Windu half-heartedly joked. A rare occurrence.

"Talk to you soon," Alexandra said as she left the council room.

She spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the younglings until the alert for dinner sounded through the temple.

Over the following months, she got to know Anakin better and spent more time with him. She found out that they shared a great many interests, mainly tinkering and a fascination with space travel. In years to come they would get along like a house on fire.
