Football is everything to me. Well, to be more specific. It's everything to my father. He grew up as one of the best. Winning so many trophies, all the girls he could ever wish for. Until my mom came along.
He was a High-School Legend. So, naturally. I have to be one too. You might think that living in my father's footsteps, and having all these expectations... That I'd be unhappy.
But, no. I'm happy. I have pretty much everything any guy could dream for during High-School. Plus, I grew up playing football with my dad. It's in our blood, I love the sport. Also, I'm like... Insanely good at it.
Not to brag, though. Really. I'm just really good. I'm the best.
I also pride myself on just how humble I am. I get good grades, even better girlfriends. I go to parties all the time. I'm kind of the shit.
Tonight is a very important night. Because, it's a very important game. We're going to be going against this other High-School a few blocks from us. That we all hated. They thought they were better because they were on the richer side of town.
I was going to crush it, like usual.
I am rather handsome as well. So, as I walked into the hallways my friends and a bunch of girls joined by my side immediately. I had dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a rather strong build. I was tall as hell, too.
They all went off talking about the game.
"I'm so pumped for tonight, man!" Austin said with a grin, making his hands into fists.
Austin is one of my closest friends. Our mom's used to be really good friends. He was ginger with green eyes and freckles.
"Those Wasps are going down. I don't care what anyone says. I might even fuck one up just 'cause I feel like it." Buck said while shrugging his shoulders, making an 'eh' motion.
Buck is one of my football buddies. He's a bit of a dick, but I assume he means well most of the time. He was a mountain of a man. He looked like a bodybuilder. Intimidating-looking.
"Okay, calm down." I laughed.
Colleen, also known as Baby C, looked up towards me as she brushed a lock of her hair behind her ear. "Hey, Johnny?" she asked.
I turned my attention over towards her as I started to shove my things into my locker. "What's up, Baby C?"
"Are you going to the after party tonight? Buck's cousin is gonna pick us up after the game. There's a pool... And a hot tub." She inquired, her voice almost a bit flirtatious.
I grinned. "Girl-" I started with a click of my tongue. "-you already know I'm going."
"Good. They have this really nice pool house, too. With these pretty lights." The ravenette said as she hugged onto one of her textbooks, twiddling her thumb over the edge of the pages. "I was, um... Wondering if you wanted to go hotbox with me in there? At the party?"
I felt my heart fluttering slightly. Me and Baby C have had a weird romance for about two years. We never dated, or told eachother we were into eachother, but it was pretty obvious to the both of us.
"You're welcome for the weed, by the way." Austin chimed into our conversation.
I rolled my eyes. "Usually, drug dealers don't like to announce that they were the ones who sold the drugs." I added with slight sarcasm.
"So... Would you?" Baby C asked again.
I turned to look over with a smile. "Yeah. Yeah, of course, Baby C. I'll be there."
"You're just jealous that I pull more money than you by sitting on my ass all day. While you're at your dad's hardware store." Austin laughed, though let out a sudden groan when I punched him in the stomach.
