After me and Austin identified our suspect, and linked him to the scene of the crime. Now, it was time to strategize.

We decided to follow him around during school when I returned from being suspended. To see how he worked. Where his classes are, stuff like that.

I just didn't realize how hard that would be. When the entire school had eyes on me.

Turns out, Buck was kicked off the football team since that video went viral. And he really did hate my guts.

Though, I was surrounded by people who were on my side during the situation. My popularity and handsomeness was useful during times like this. When you really need your favoritism. However, I didn't care about that right now. I needed to know if Baby C was angry with me, and hated me too.

So, when I saw her at her locker, I immediately made my way over. I noticed that when she saw me walking over, she rolled her eyes.

"Baby C... Hey." I greeted nervously.

"Hey, Johnny. I heard you had a lot of fun at the party." She snapped in a slightly sarcastic tone as she was grabbing her things from her locker.

"Baby C, I know what I saw. You have to believe me. I wanted to go to the pool house with you." I explained, frowning as I looked at her with a desperate look in my eyes.

"I wish I could believe you. Really, Johnny. I wish I could." She sighed towards me, tucking some hair behind her ear. "But you always do this to me. And you always have some crazy excuse. But now this? And that video? Getting arrested?"

I opened my mouth to explain myself, but she continued.

"I mean, do you even like me? I asked you to do one thing alone with me. Just one thing alone with me. And right after I leave, all of the sudden there's a mysterious murder? All the sudden you're in jail? Really?" She scoffed at me, slamming her locker closed.

"Baby C, I was never avoiding you! I do like you, I like you a lot. You have to believe me. I wanted to go with you." I said, exasperated.

"Well... I don't like you." She stated bluntly, refusing to meet my eyes. A look of hurt appeared on my face.

"You don't mean that." I said softly.

She shook her head. "No, Johnny... I'm afraid I do mean that. I'm tired of these games. I'm tired of waiting on you. I'm tired of all these crazy excuses about why you do all the crazy stuff you do." she sighed. "You're clearly not into me. So, I'm not into you. And I'm fine with that. I'll just stop wasting my time on you, John McClain." she told me as she looked into my eyes, then turned around and walked off.

I let out a shaky breath, then leaned myself up against the lockers. My entire life was falling apart, all because of this insane situation. I needed to prove that Tony Davis was CJ's killer. Then, maybe everything in my life would be fixed.

This all felt like a really, really bad dream. That I just couldn't wake up from. Running a hand through my blonde hair, I sighed to myself. So frustrated with everything going on in my life.

Things couldn't get any worse.

That was when the school's speakers started to... Well, speak.

"John McClain, Buck Palochi, and Tony Davis to the main office, please. John McClain, Buck Palochi, and Tony Davis to the main office, please. Thank you."

I was wrong.

Things could get so much worse from here.

I let out a stressed-out sigh, making my way over towards the main office. I sucked in my breath when I finally opened the door, seeing Buck and... Tony... Sitting across from eachother.
