The next morning, I woke up to a knocking on my window. I opened my eyes and groaned, sitting myself up. It was Austin at the window. He must've climbed the tree up.

I rubbed my eyes, opening the window and then sat myself down on my bed.

"Hey..." Austin whispered to me. "Are you okay, Johnny?"

"No." I whispered back. "The cops think I'm fucking crazy. My parents think I'm fucking crazy. Now, everyone at the school probably thinks I'm fucking crazy too."

"Well... Not everyone." Austin smiled as he crawled inside, closing the window behind him as he went over to my desk. He sat in my chair, spinning around to face me. "Your video from the party went viral. And the school is kind of in an uproar right now. Half of them hate you, and half are defending you." he admitted to me.

"Defending me, really?" I asked.

"Well, because people from the party that were there, are saying they saw genuine fear from you. They saw you running around yelling about a murder. You called the police. And in the video, Buck is the one punching you in the stomach. And you didn't fight back." Austin explained.

"So..." I went on.

"So, they're saying that even if there wasn't a murder or an attack. You thought you saw one, and you pretty much reacted how anyone else would. You called the police, which is a good thing." He said with a smile. "People think it's heroic you did all that to save somebody... Even if there was nobody to save."

"What-... What about the other half of the school?" I asked with a furrow of my brows.

"They all think you're fucking crazy. And that you're an asshole. You're stuck-up, you think you're better than everyone else. You think you're the shit because of all the wins at your football games, you steal people's girlfr-" Austin went on before I interrupted him.

"What the hell? Most of that doesn't have anything to do with what happened." I said, running a hand through my hair in confusion.

"Well... I think a lot of people are using this situation to just hate on you." Austin laughed, spinning around in the chair.

Turning my head over to Austin, I sighed gently. "Does... Does Baby C... Hate me?" I asked hesitantly.

Austin shrugged gently. "I wouldn't know. I didn't talk to her." he admitted to me. Then, he reached into his backpack, pulling out a box.

"Also...." The ginger started. "I didn't go home last night after the police station. Instead, I worked my ass off by making a lot of drops. So, I can afford this." he said, pulling out an old-looking cellphone in a box.

I reached over for the box, letting out a sigh of relief. "Oh, my God! A phone!" I quickly opened the box, looking through the flip phone. "Old as hell, but thank you so much, Austin."

The ginger laughed. "It's all I could afford right now. It's a really good one. You can still play phone games and stuff on it."

"Thank God." I sighed out, laying back on the bed.

"Now that that's all over. Wanna crawl up on your roof and smoke before I have to leave?" Austin asked me, and I nodded eagerly. Both of us getting up and then crawling out the window.

We both sat on the roof, smoking a joint together.

"Do you believe me?" I asked him.

"Well... To be honest, I didn't. Not at first, at least. I thought you were drugged or something. But at the police station and even today, you held your ground on it and you're kinda sober." Austin started. "So, now I do believe you. But I just don't think what you saw actually happened."
