In the morning, I heard a bunch of locks being undone at the door. I groaned and raised my head up. Then, realizing that meant one of those vampires were coming in, I sat up immediately.

Austin woke up at the sound as well, shaking his head lightly with a yawn.

The door opened, and Tony walked in. Immediately, the brunette's face scrunched up and he covered his nose. "Ugh! You guys are unbelieveable. Seriously?!"

"Huh? What's that strange smell? I think a skunk died around here or something..." Austin hummed out curiously, tapping his chin with his free hand, as if Tony would actually buy that explanation.

"Austin, I've been a teenager for over 500 years... I know what drugs are." Tony said in monotone. "But, nice try." he added with a sarcastic smile. Then, the brunette made his way over and handing us both waterbottles.

"I felt bad for keeping you two locked up here. So, I decided to get you two water. But, that lasted for about five minutes before I opened the door and realized you two actually had a great time in here." Tony muttered out, fixing his glasses and making his way to the door.

"Wait!" I called out hastily.

He stopped and turned back.

"So, after we do this mission of yours. And get the Stone. You'll set us free? Right?" I asked.

Tony nodded with a smile and a shrug. "I guess so. I don't really have a choice. Believe me, I really don't want you running around school and the police station about my family and vampires and stuff..." The brunette fixed his glasses once more. He seemed to do that everytime he was in thought. I noticed that.

"But..." He continued. "Nobody will believe you. Also, it doesn't benefit you at all. Unless you really do want to get kicked off the football team. Unless you really do want to completely tarnish your reputation at school. Have everybody think you're crazy." he shrugged. "So, it's fine. I'll let you go."

"Really?" I asked, almost in disbelief. Well, it honestly did make sense. I would probably be locked up in a mental institution if I really did all of that. I leaned myself back into the wall. At least we'd be set free after this. All we had to do was so a mission.

"Yes, really." Was all he said as he walked out.

What if when they get ahold of that Stone? Would I have helped these vampires become the most powerful in the world? And in turn, destroy all of humanity?

Or... Am I just high right now?

Shaking my head from my thoughts, I opened my water bottle and hesitantly took a sip. Then, continued to take a few gulps.

Then, I went back to sleep since that's all I could do. Since our phones were taken the first time we passed out. Or else, I would've actually called the police by now. Even if they'd be completely useless.

As I laid there sleeping, suddenly I was awakened by the feeling of the bed I was on being kicked, which immediately made me sit up.

The kick woke up Austin as well, the ginger rubbing his eyes and looking around.

It was Eric. Taking off our handcuffs and ordering us out of the room. Grabbing our forearms and guiding the two of us out. "Come on, it's time."

I guess it was. We had to do this insane plan sometime. I just constantly had this overwhelming feeling of being so unprepared. Given, I was human and entering a world of vampires. Alone in the forest with them and Austin.

He walked us towards a large truck. And, I mean, an actually large truck. Not the car kind. It was a semi-truck.

"So much for being inconspicuous." I muttered out, making Eric laugh.
