And that was how I died...

Wait... What?

What was that?

You missed the part where I explained to you how I died?

Well, I'm not gonna repeat it again.

Huh?

What's that?

I have to?

Or what? What are you gonna do if I don't?

...

Wow...

You're a freak...

Okay, okay... I'll do it... Jeez...

I had a good day at school. Well, it was better than the worst it could've gone. So, I was grateful for that. Then, I made my way back home like normal. However, when I entered my bedroom. I started noticing something weird. Something really... Disturbing.

Something that didn't seem like a red flag now, but in hindsight, was pretty weird.

My laptop. It was moved. I could've sworn I always kept it on my desk. But, this time, it was sitting on my bed. Opened. I walked over towards my laptop, and turned it on to see what the last page that was looked at was.

It was my social media. It was opened to my text messages with everyone. It looked like someone looked through all my text messages. I didn't think much of it at the time. Maybe I forgot to put it back on my desk, and was texting Austin. Sounds likely. I wouldn't put it past myself basically.

So, I went to put it back on my desk. But, then I noticed something else strange. My notebook that was always on my desk, it looked like someone opened it and ripped out a few pages. And my pen... Where was my pen? My favorite pen... It was gone.

Okay. Now that was strange. I would've never misplaced my pen like that. I got it from a signing of my favorite football player...

That's right, people...

Dan Marino...

Not only was he the greatest quarterback of all time, but he was my personal hero. His posters were all over my room.

Granted... I never got to see him play. But, my dad would tell me about him all the time. He was my dad's hero. Now, he's mine.

My dad's favorite team was the Miami Dolphins. Growing up in Miami. Maybe, that's why he was so hardboiled all the time.

I remember growing up, and me and my dad would watch Dan Marino and his greatest moments on VHS. My dad wasn't an affectionate man. He didn't know how to express his feelings.

But...

Football and Dan Marino?

That was the way we bonded the most. That's how I was able to feel my dad's love.

And my pen...

Somebody stole my fucking Dan Marino pen.

That made me really suspicious. So, I continued searching through my entire room to find anything else that was strange. I couldn't. Which frustrated me to no end.

I couldn't believe this. This was getting ridiculous. I called out to my parents to ask if they went into my room, or had the absolute gull to steal my Dan Marino pen. They told me no.

Strange...

Though, at around 6PM, while I was relaxing in my bed. I started to feel movements on my bed. Which freaked me out. So I looked around. Under my bed. In my closet. Under my desk, but saw nobody. Okay... Okay, maybe I'm just paranoid. I don't know.
