Haruhi Suzumiya is a psychotic girl... She views people as personal creations and treats them like playthings. She even views herself as a goddess and acts like she can do whatever she wants. At first, I believed this girl to be crazy. The supernatural didn't exist and she wasn't a goddess. Those were the beliefs I held back then. That was until I encountered those three club members...

Yuki Nagato is an alien and Mikuru is a time traveler... Both hold Haruhi in high regard. To Yuki, she's an explosion of data. To Mikuru, she's a time distortion that caused several things to happen throughout time. To Koizumi, well, she's a god... At least, that's what he said to me as we talked about the situation.

It all happened when I asked him if he had anything to do with that cultist. Everyone else had certain associations with her, so it didn't surprise me that he had one too. After I answered a few questions, he directed me to the cafeteria. Haruhi wasn't there, so it made it the perfect spot to talk about it.

"Hey, Koizumi... Why are you so concerned with Haruhi not hearing this? She already knows about all of this, right?"

"Of course she does."

"Then, why go all the way here to do it?"

"Suzumiya-san is in a terrible mood today... It wouldn't be a good idea to do this while she's like this. It would end up inviting some terrible consequences."

"Consequences? Do we get in trouble or something for this?"

"No. We'll be perfectly fine... These consequences are only for her... Well, we'll get into that later. For now, ask anything about me."

"Okay... First off, what are you? Are you some kind of esper or something?"

"No need to assume!"

He shook his cup softly.

"While not exactly accurate, you're more or less correct - I am what you call an esper. That's right, I possess paranormal powers."

I drank my coffee in silence. Mmm, too sweet, he should've bought it with less sugar.

"I'd have preferred not to transfer to this school so suddenly, but there has been a change in circumstances. I never thought those two girls would have approached Suzumiya Haruhi so quickly already. Before that, they had always been silently observing her."

Hey... Haruhi's not some endangered species, you jerk!

Despite the frown I put on, he continued on.

"Hey, we're trying our best too! We don't intend to harm Suzumiya-san in any way! If anything, we're here to protect her from danger!"

"We? Does that mean there are other espers like you?"

"Well, there aren't quite as many as you think. Since I am among the lowest-ranked, I don't really know much, I only know there are about ten in this world. All are under the supervision of the 'Organization'."

We continued to talk about the existence of the organization and Koizumi's place in it. I barely understood it all, but I was able to get the gist of it. Koizumi, the low ranking esper, transferred to this school due to a change in plans. Other espers were apparently in the school, but not all of them were on Haruhi's side.

I seriously don't get it. Why does everyone like Haruhi?! She's an insane psycho with a huge god complex! She creates trouble for everyone and gets angry whenever you bring up something she doesn't care about! Seriously, why protect someone this crazy?! Do they seriously believe her claims about being a goddess?! Did they think she was the one to create this world?!
