Part 1:The selection.

"If you don't get a move on,we'll miss our flight,and this comp you guys so desperately want to attend" I heard my mom shout as I took my earphones out.
Just a few seconds later a car honked and my mom called for us again.
I've really missed everyone at Shorehaven especially Poppy...

Summer hasn't been keeping contact with our friends, but I have and I just can't help to feel at home when driving into Shorehaven.

As soon as we got to Ari's house summer was running into the house.I was surprised to see that nobody was home...
"I really hope they still live here,otherwise we're breaking and entering"I looked over and saw Summer looking at a picture of Ari.'Huh' I think to myself,I knew she wanted to come back here for Ari,well atleast for the most part. "Ma do you think I'd beg you to come back just for a boy?" She then got a notification about something. "No it can't be today" she said confused "they changed the date,try-outs ate today!" she said stressed "We gotta go!"

When we got to the beach I was eager to get down there and see my friends!
Hurrying down from the parking lot I stood still looking for Poppy and Bodhi until I heard summer talking on the speaker audio and I finally spotted my friends.I hurried towards them.They realised it was Summer and went to hug eachother,I could see Marlon also going over to them."Just by the way I'm here  here to" I smiled and suddenly i was crushed with a big hug from Poppy and then Bodhi too,Marlon looked confused but happy and gave me a hug aswell.

The announcers asked to clear the waters over the the speakers,I looked over to where Summer was looking and saw Ari.They were smiling at eachother as I just observed.Suddenly this beautiful girl ran over and kissed him"Oh shit..."I said under my breath and immediately walked over to my sister knowing how she must've felt.

The girl ran over to Summer and gave her a hug? She then gave me a hug and said how much she has heard about us 'She's unusually friendly' I just smiled not knowing what to say in the awkward situation,Ari then introduced her as Wren.
Ari asked what we were doing here and Summer said "I'm actually here to try out" "Yeah me too" I said and everyone was supriced and excited by what we were doing here.They were all having a conversation but I wasn't listening to busy looking at a guy with pink hair drying himself off, It's really weird that he just randomly caught my attention...Suddenly I was being pulled to the locker room by Bodhi.

"One of you could have told me about Wren,by the way" Summer said "Excuse me we've barely heard from you in months" I heard the voice of my best friend say "Hey but you could've told me about it though,maybe I could've given Summer a heads up?!" I said
They started talking about Ari,and it really uninterested me so my mind drifted to how we were going to get into the try-outs area.The announcers called out the first heat and we all went to go and watch since it was Bodhi heat.

We were watching the heat and bodhi was doing really good "Come on Bodhs you've got it!" I cheared her on,she got second place but she was overall one of the best.
The same guy from earlier caught my eye,and i guessed he was about to do his heat. I haven't seen him before but I also haven't been here for awhile,im guessing hes new."Wow" I muttered,he was really good...

The stupid judges told me and Summer that we weren't good enough,so Summer had a plan and for once I'm totally on board with it.
Walking into the locker room Summer started explaining what she had in mind.
"..take my shot"Summer finished "No"
"What do you mean no?"I asked but was ignored when Ari greeted the guy I was staring at earlier that day.The guy looked over at me and smiled,i obviously smiled back,but there's no doubt that I'm blushing,I was looking away from everyone to hide my blushing face. "Listen just so we're clear your asking me to risk disqualification to get you guys in the water?" I looked to the pink haired guy and saw he was listening in on the conversation.
"Summer broke the rules for you" I said "Yeah,a year ago I got you on that fairy and you made your final" she said "Come on help a girl out" I said smiling innocently up at him.Then he started to say how it's the big leagues and blah blah blah and he left,I saw summer walking out frustrated,I turned around only to find the guy staring at me "I'll help" he said.I then gave him a confused but happy smile.

Me and Summer were quickly walking past the security and I could here Bax making conversation with him,I smiled and nodded my head at him and he just gave me a grin..I really tried not to blush and I know its embarrassing to blush over a grin,but I mean look at the guy.

We then walked to the wavepool and jumped in,we were getting yelled at but I was trying to shut it out because I really need to focus right now.I feel like my anxiety is building up by the second.
Summer then took the first wave and I was really impressed with how good she has become,I took the third wave after Poppy,I feel like I did really good but in the back of my mind I can't help to wonder what if it wasn't good enough?

When we were on the way to Ari's we found honey skating in the road.Shes like a little sister to me,as we got to the house we walked in and saw the Ari and Wren making out.

We were sitting outside waiting for everyone to arrive and I saw Wren and mystery guy pushing eachother "wait I know that guy?" i said "Wrens brother Baxter . I don't think you'd get along with him he's a pyro " Bodhs said "What?"
He looked over and we made eye contact, I couldn't focus on the bad things they were saying about him when he was looking at me like that.

I heard the last bit of what they were saying when I finally looked away,ignoring the butterflies i had."Well he's super helpful" i said "Also Wren's a litterer,last November Tuesday afternoon outside Farouk's fish and chips she threw a sauce container at the bin she missed and just left it there." honey said out of nowhere causing me to snort "You don't like her very much do you?" I whispered to her and she shook her head no.

We were all looking at a video of Ari and Summer when we were little,I couldn't help to look at the spot where the guy who's name is Bax and Marz were sitting ,I don't even know the guy but I can't help but to feel attracted to him.
My attention was pulled away from them as I heard phones beeping I could tell that most of them were in but what shocked me was that Wren got team captain and not Poppy? "Hey Pops are you okay?" I asked "Yep I'm fine don't worry about it" she brushed it off like it was nothing. I feel bad for her but I haven't gotten a text so I guess I'm not in?Just as I was thinking that i got a notification...and I got in!
Im surprised myself but I'm not going to announce it at the moment cause of summer...
I went over to my sister and she looked upset until she said "I got in"I was so happy for my sister.When she left for the bathroom I went over to sit on the couch where there weren't any people.I was reading the text over again to make sure that I got in and when I looked up Bax was sitting down next to me. "Hi"
"Hey"he said "I'm Bax by the way." He said with a grin " yeah i know,I'm Skylar but you probably already know that" I said "Yeah I do ,beautiful name by the way,so you didn't get in?"he asked I tried too ignore the compliment but the way my stomach feel is annoying me." Uhm yeah about that...I got in!"i said uncertain "You got in? Why didn't ypu say anything" he said still talking in a flirty tone " I didn't want to make my sister feel bad,I thought she didn't get a spot cause she seemed upset" I admitted.
He just silently observed me as I observed back " Your not like your sister are you?" He asked and I frowned "What do you mean?"
We were watching eachother and he said "Your more quiet,you keep to yourself but your still confident...I like that" that caught me off guard I didn't think he would be so straight forward, The butterflies in my stomach is so unusual I don't know how to feel about it.I bit the corner of my lip and looked at him again about to respond when summer came out and grabbed my arm saying she needed to tell me something.
I looked at Bax and mouthed 'sorry' and went with Summer...

Hey hope you guys like this,there isn't alot of Bax stories so I thought I'd write one.This chapter is pretty short but the rest will be longer dw.

I have never written a book before but I am trying to make it be good :)
