Part 3:"You're so cute"

Bax was looking at the fire,while in a panicking state,"Bax,come with me" I told him gently dragging him with me to go get my phone that was laying in my bedroom.
As we were hurrying to the room I stopped summer "Sum,you need to get the fire extinguisher,I'm going to call the Fire department."
"Yeah,okay.Sky don't tell mom okay she'll find out later" She said and hurried away.
As I walked into my room I grabbed my phone "Bax,just sit on the bed,try to calm down." I tried reassuring him.
5 minutes after I called the fire department they showed up and I asked Summer to talk to them.

I sat down on the bed next to Baxter.
"Bax,it's not your fault it's mine.
I kicked the gas bottle,me.Not you,okay?" I said suddenly feeling really guilty as I realized what I've done,and he thought it was his fault...
"Yeah..." He said as we made eye contact,his eyes then traveling down to my lips.I immediately got nervous,that's happened quite alot when I'm around him.As I was about to say something
Summer came in "Mom's here"she said
"Uh...Yeah,okay.Bax I'll see you tomorrow?" I said embarrassed "Yeah...Uhm,Of course.I'm really sorry about everything." I smiled at him as he looked at me while walking to the door.I could feel my cheeks heating up. Brushing it off I walked outside with Summer I could already tell my mom was furious."What have you done?" She asked "We kept it mostly outside" Summer said as I just sighed looking away,feeling guilty.

The next day we were kicked out,our only other option was to go over to the Gibsons...
I was upset with myself,and I really wasn't in the mood for my mum threatening to take us back home,and for the Ari and Summer drama...plus the stress about the next day's comp.
Everything was to much and I really needed to focus.

The next day I woke up at 5 am.
Seeing my mom and summer sleeping on the small bed,I quietly grabbed my wetsuit and toothbrush.
I did my thing and sneaked out of the house,grabbed my board and headed to the beach.I needed a distraction and I needed to focus,so why not go surfing.

As I got to the beach the sun started coming up,I couldn't help but admire the sunrise until I felt someone's arm brush against mine,snapping me out of my daze.
I looked up only to see bax and couldn't help but give him a big grin."Hi" he said in his thick Aussie accent that I found really attractive.
"Hey,what are you doing here?" I asked "Probably the same thing that you're doing. I'm getting my mind off of things." He said making me frown in confusion "Why,what's wrong?Are you okay?" I asked him with concern in my tone "Ah... just problems with my sisters and the whole fire accident you know?What about you,are you fine?" He said nudging my arm gently "Yeah,great" I said in a sarcastic tone trying to brush it off. "Come on,tell me." He said standing closer now looking me straight in the eyes.I found myself observing him until I spoke "I just needed a break from all the drama, from my sister and my mom,and plus I really need to focus on the comp,but I'm fine." He stared at me trying to see if I'm telling the truth.
"Are you sure?" He asked,suddenly I realized I've never seen this side of bax before,I really do like it though "Yeah,I promise.Now let's go surf" I said eager to get into the water.

There wasn't alot of big waves,but we both got a few good ones.As he came back from surfing this huge wave I couldn't stop myself from staring at him,the butterflies in my stomach going crazy.As he came over he caught me staring,as he looked over he stared straight back at me but what surprised me was that I wasn't breaking the eye contact,but after a minute I splashed him breaking the eye contact before I could drown from being nervous,I mentally slapped myself for doing that.He made me feel nervous and get butterflies,and I don't understand it but I like it. "Are you nervous?" He asked softly "No,why would I be?" I lied,feeling even more nervous "You're lying" He said coming closer to me...
I scoffed not wanting to give myself away even more than I have."It's alright,I tend to have that effect on people." He said cockily having a smirk plastered on his face.I scoffed mockingly "Yeah,right" I said as I bit my lip slightly smiling.

A little while later we were walking back to Ari's house to go get ready for the comp.He was meeting Elo there because Wren insisted to pick up Ari.
"So my mom wants to take me and Summer back to New York..." He looked at me as if he thought I was joking "Are you serious?" He asked "Yeah" I sighed "Why?" "She's angry at us,because of the party and the fire...She's apparently had enough." I said suddenly feeling annoyed "Shit...I'm really sorry Sky." He said looking genuinely sorry "Yeah,and you know what's the worst thing.She doesn't even get how much we care about surfing...All she does is work." I said feeling so much frustration towards my mom. "I'm sorry for dumping this on you,I know you have your own problems..." I said "Hey,no it's alright.You need someone to talk to,I'm here!" He said while stopping to look at me while saying this.
I started smiling like an idiot "Your so cute" I said as I touched his cheek lightly,before I started walking again I saw him smile,it wasn't a smirk surprisingly,it was an actual smile. I turned around and started walking away biting my lip to stop my huge smile on my face.I can't believe I actually said that. I internally laugh at myself not knowing where I got the confidence to do that.When I looked up he was walking next to me still having a small smile on his face. "Which round is your heat today?" I asked out of nowhere,wanting to know so that I could watch."I think it's the first round.Which round is yours?" He asked "Mine's the first round too." "Are you going to watch my heat?" He teased poking me gently in the ribs,I smiled up at him."Maybe." I said as I saw that we made it to the house.
"I'll see you later?" He asked grabbing my arm lightly,I turned to him whe I felt him touch my arm,"Yeah,I'll be watching your heat." I said,smiling at him,I then walked into the house.When I reached the door I saw him still standing there,smiling.
I couldn't help but let out a small laugh as I stepped into the house.

"Where have you been?" I hear my mom yelling to me.
