📍The Sincity Hospital, Kingston

I tried to open my eyes, but nothing I tried would work.

"When she ago wake up?" I heard the voice I identified as my brother's own ask.

I opened my eyes and quickly shut it back, all I saw was lights shining straight in my eyes.

"Where am I?" I asked blinking slowly, so that my eyes could adjust to the light.

As soon as they saw that I was awake, my brother came rushing over to me, asking if I was okay and there was only one person, one thing on my mind.

The nurse ran some tests and told me that my blood pressure was too high, but I Just felt that something is going on.

I also recognized the nurse as the cashier at the supermarket where Zaza and I went.

So much job she do suh?

Don't know eno M'lavv.

"How is she?" His face softened at my question, answering it.

I sighed and sat up, but I was too weak to get up.

"Can I have some water?" I asked no one in particular.

The nurse left the room, for the water I assume and I just sat there thinking how I failed her.

My sister.

My baby.

My heart.

My gungyal.

A-

Tears streamed down my face as the memories came back  straight up to when I got the call.

Flashback:

He came to me as quick as possible and I gave him the phone.

"Answer" he said and I did just that.

"Is this Shay-lee Smith?" A middle aged, sounding woman asked from the other line.

Everyone was now confused.

How did she know my name?

He nodded, which gave me the go-ahead to tell the lady yes.

"Yes this is her, who is this?" I asked pertaining to the question playing on my mind.

"This a call referring to your friend Alisha, so she was found on the streets yesterday with bruises and opened cuts, we took her in the hospital and tried to help her but we found her too la-" I hung up before she could get to say anything else.
