"Mommy" I whined for the umpteenth time.
I was trying to get her to do a TikTok with me, just for memories.
"Suck yuh muma n lowe mi nuh" her tone laced with frustration.
"Nuh bady nuh wah suck you" I said making sure to run off afterwards.
"Mommy yuh love mi?" I asked smiling sheepishly walking back to her.
"Yuh nahve a man?" as soon as those words left her mouth, my mood changed from cheery to annoyed.
Zaza had been avoiding me after he kissed me.
He's bad news but I still felt a way.
I felt drawn to him from the night at the clu- scratch that from the day at the supermarket, I longed to know the deep voiced giant that I had bumped into.
Not to mention when I go around my brother he's always there to his right hand side, because he's his right hand man, and when I greet them I would only get a nod or he'll hum.
It's bothering me, but nuh man nuh more dan me.
"Yah hear weh mi a seh" my mother asked, I was just knowing that she was saying something, but apparently like the daughter I am I was zoned out thinking about a man who doesn't want me.

I hummed in response and she gave me a knowing look.

"Mommy mi good" she was going to make a big deal out of 'my situation' talking about grandkids and all that stuff.

📍 Shoppers Fair Supermarket, St. Catherine.
Here I am walking along the aisles of the supermarket, looking for groceries to carry home with me and some for mommy.
I have a feeling something might go bad today but I don't know what.
Feel fi guh home.
Ignoring my thoughts, I placed my ear pods in my ears, singing along to 'Lucid- Kraff'
"You're pretty" I heard a not so familiar voice.
Ignoring 'the voice' I placed the other ear pod in my ear and continue walking.
*** Walking up to the cashier, I put down the groceries and watch keenly as she cashed them.
The man was finished packing out my groceries and she didn't give me a total.

"How much is it?" I asked impatience evident in my tone and body language.
"Oh I forgot to tell you that someone already paid for your groceries" I furrowed my eyebrows.
I told them a quick 'thank you' and took my groceries out to the parking lot.
"Psst" someone was catcalling me, and I wasn't going to turn around.
Until I heard "Can't you say thanks"
Turning around I saw the same man that was in every aisle with me at the supermarket and by the looks of it, he was the same man that paid for my groceries.
"Umm I don't know you or who you think you are but, here is your money" I stretched him 10 $5,000 notes to him, which he didn't take.
I heard him mumble something before he looked back at me and smirked.
He came up to me and placed his hand on my chest, and then what he said next caused me to start panicking, I wasn't afraid because I was trained.
But am I trained enough for this? I don't know.
"You're not as smart as I thought princess" his Mexican accent was now evident.
I smirked and kicked him in his groin and he groaned.
I got in my car and started it and the next thing I felt other than the AC, was when someone held their hand around my neck.
