The sun shines brightly on the picturesque hospital grounds as a large crowd gathers for the inauguration of the new hospital block, and the launch of the NGO "Sathva." A red carpet leads to the stage, where Abhishek stands, poised and dignified, ready to address the audience.
As Abhishek stood on the dais, looking out at the sea of faces gathered to celebrate the realization of their shared dream, a rush of emotions washed over him. The "SK" block was now officially inaugurated, and "Sathva" was ready to begin its mission of compassion and healing.
He went through his speech again. Everything just felt right, and he knew he had done justice to their dream, even if he couldn't mention Siddharth by name. He felt a deep sense of fulfillment, as if a promise had been kept.
Abhishek's gaze swept across the crowd, and there, in the front rows, he spotted Sam, the young man he had raised as his own. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he saw the fine, well-mannered gentleman Sam had become. The love and pride he felt for the boy who had been their shared joy swelled in his heart.
In that moment, Abhishek couldn't help but think about Siddharth, the man he had loved so deeply, the man who had been taken from him. He believed in an afterlife, and he believed that he would one day reunite with Siddharth. And as he looked at Sam, he knew that even if he were to pass on soon, he wouldn't disappoint Siddharth when they meet in the afterlife...
Tears welled up in Abhishek's eyes. He had fulfilled their dream, and he had raised Sam with love and care, just as he and Siddharth had planned. The circle was complete, and Abhishek felt a sense of peace wash over him.
"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests, and the dedicated staff of our hospital, I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude and hope. This project, the NGO 'Satva' which aims to work for raising awareness about mental health among the masses, and providing compassionate medical care , has been a long-cherished dream, a vision shared by someone very dear to me, someone who is no longer with us.
Though my friend is not here to witness this moment, I know he is with us in spirit."
The juniors, who were seated among the audience, were furiously whispering among themselves
"Daksh, Chachu now looks every inch of a bereaved man..."
"Hmm.... You are right. Now that we know who this Siddharth was to him, it's impossible not to feel the yearning in his voice..."
"Oy, romantic, what's with that 'yearning'? Sounds corny...! And keep your voices low. This is all true, but we don't want someone hearing, and causing a scandal right now!"
And it was at this moment, that the team of doctors from the 'Savitri Bai memorial hospital' of Ahmedabad arrived. Siddharth, Sakshi, and her son were with them, Siddharth wearing a beanie, shades and a normal face mask, looking pretty much unrecognizable. He was walking at the very end of the group, hesitating at each step. Is this a good idea?
That is when he heard those opening words of Abhishek's speech. His heart raced as he watched Abhishek, the man he had loved and left behind, deliver a heartfelt speech about their shared dream. Abhishek has aged beautifully, still looking robust and fit...
A decade had passed since that fateful day when Siddharth had faked his own death to protect Abhishek from the consequences of a framed medical negligence case. In those ten years, he had rebuilt his life, becoming a respected doctor in Ahmedabad. Somehow, Sakshi - that wonderful woman - had joined him, and brought Abhimanyu - the little boy now walking between them. Between them, he believed that he had got over Abhishek.
