Hello people!
I am back, once again. I apologize - for the long delay in updating. Well, real life seldom goes on smooth for long. I lost a friend, who was my first reader and greatest inspiration, a couple oof months ago. With her, I lost the will to write. I tried again, after months of not writing, and nothing I produced was satisfactory. But, here's an update. I hope this chapter is satisfactory. Before you read this, I highly recommend going back and reading the previous chapter. I'll be providing a short gist of the story till now, below this.
....... Siddharth is dead, Abhishek grieves him, for almost a decade. Their son Sam grows up into a fine young boy. On the day of the inauguration of 'Satva' - a dream project that Siddharth and Abhishek planned together before Siddharth's accident - Siddharth comes back, just to see Abhishek from afar, once more. With him comes a lady - Sakshi and her son - Abhimanyu (Yes, he was named after 'Abhishek'). Just as Siddharth is about to go back - unseen and unnoticed, Abhishek faints and is admitted in his hospital. Siddharth is worried, and goes to check upon him. Abhishek wakes up just in time, and the star crossed lovers reunite. Siddharth is guilty for leaving - he left after shouldering the blame of the medical negligence case that Abhishek was being prosecuted for. So, Abhishek's career was saved. Plus, Sam was with Siddharth when the accident happened, and Siddharth believed that Sam died in the accident ( His mother duped him into believing that). That's why he never returned. Neeti - Abhishek's wife - sees them together, and understands that her marriage is doomed.
That's about it, happy reading!
Abhinav Mehta (Abhishek's older brother) was lounging in the living room of the Mehta manor, when Neeti stormed in. He greeted her, but she seemed to not notice him. Shortly, Mekhla – his mother – barged in.
"Abhinav, did Neeti come here?" She asked, looking worried.
"Yes...What happened? She looked troubled" He replied, sensing her turbulent mood. Something was happening, he knew that. His father was being secretive, and had disappeared for quite some time, during the inauguration.
His mother sat down beside him, and sighed "Siddharth is back..."
Abhinav was not shocked, at all... Okay, maybe he was, a bit.
"What? You mean our - Abhishek's – that one?"
"Yes. He's back, and he was in Abhishek's room, when she went in to see him" She said, leaning back and massaging the space between her brows. Oh, sounds bad – Abhinav thought.
"And?"
" And, she saw them... you know... that." She replied, not quite looking at him.
"That's bad, I guess? So, are they back together again?" he asked.
"I don't know! For the time being, they're not the ones I'm worried about. What will I tell Neeti? That her husband's old lover is back, so gear up for some relationship drama? And apparently, Abhishek has been talking to her about getting a divorce! That will be quite a scandal, but honestly, maybe it's better that way. She won't have to stay and watch Siddharth and Abhishek dancing around each other, at least."
"So, does Sam know?" Abhinav asked, to divert the conversation. Okay, he liked drama, but not in his life!
"Oh yes. And looks like he's happy about it. Like his long lost father is back." Mekhla replied.
"How do you feel about all this?" Abhinav asked again.
"How does that matter? Anyways, your brother certainly looks more happy now that his old flame is back."
