Suddenly, the bathroom door creaks open and some people come into the bathroom, including a certain merman and mermaid.
"With a kraken running loose, you could use, like, a bodyguard," a girl tells Caspian as she hangs a bit on him.
"Aw, you're sweet," Caspian says as he checks his hair in the mirror, as Arista sits on the sink next to him.
"The monster could be lurking around any corner," a boy says.
"I'd fight it for you," the same girl on Caspian says.
"Caspian? Arista?" Reuben yells as he comes out of the stall and the girl screams.
"Can I talk to you two?" Reuben asks.
"Okay, everyone out," Caspian says as everyone groans and walks out, "Private talk time. Bye."
"So," Caspian says as he sits on the sink next to Arista, with an annoyed expression, "What's up?"
"Caspian, Arista, about last night, I am sorry that I ran...," he tries to say, but Caspian puts a finger on his lips, silencing him.
"Oh. Apologies are so corny. Just skip to the part where you tell me everything," Caspian says.
"Look, I... You are here on land one day, and you already fit in. I've been here all of my life, and I still feel like a freak. I-I just want to be Reuben Gillman, normal teenager," Reuben explains as Caspian and Arista frown at his statement in sympathy.
"Come on," Arista says as she jumps off the sink, "Where's the fun in that? Reuben, you're a giant kraken. Don't you think you could aim a little bit higher than "normal teenager"?"
"Oh, you little, floppy, baby guppy guy," Caspian says as he stands between Reuben and Arista, receiving a small, but unnoticeable glare from Arista.
"You know what you need?" Caspian asks draping an arm on Reuben's shoulder.
"Great hair and a mermaid tail?" he asks smiling sarcastically.
"No, but it would help," Caspian says as Arista stands in front of him.
"What you need, Reuben Gillman, is to see how great your life could be. You need a super sea bestie ditch day!" she says, giving small jazz hands.
Reuben looks at her in a bit of uncertainty until he started to smile.
"Okay. Let's do it," he says.
The three laugh a bit in joy and Caspian grabs the two's wrists and drags them out of the bathroom, still laughing a bit.
The three jump into the ocean and the two turns into mermaids while Reuben turns into a giant kraken.
Caspian and Arista jump out of the water, before gracefully falling back in, but when Arista jumped out, her fin disappeared and when entering the water again, it reappeared.
Meanwhile, Reuben poorly jumps out of the water and slams into the water. When he lands, he sees Arista staring at him when she suddenly starts to laugh, and Reuben joins in slowly.
As the three swim, Reuben holds out his hand and the merman and mermaid hang on as Reuben swim quickly through the ocean as they enter an underwater cavern. Reuben punches his hand foward causing the two mermaids to swim quickly through the ocean and adding a boost to they're jump out of the water. And this time, Reuben jumped perfectly.
"This day's been amazing," Reuben says as the three lie on the sand.
"I mean, seven seas in seven hours?" he comments excitedly.
"And don't get me started about how wrong they got the crystal jellyfish in the Marine Biologist Quarterly," Arista adds as she floats down next to Reuben on the sand.
"Exactly. Sorry. Are we geeking out too much?" Reuben asks.
"No," Caspian says sarcastically and the three laugh.
"I still can't believe your mom hid all of this from you," Caspian adds as he points up to the ocean that looked like a beautiful night sky as fish passed by.
""Hiding is surviving." That's the Gillman family motto," Reuben sadly says.
"Mottoes are stupid. That's my motto. I hate hiding," Caspian says.
"But you're crushing it at school. Everyone loves you," Reuben says looking at Caspian.
"You really do have everything," Reuben said as he gave a small glance to Arista.
"No, I don't. Ever since the Battle of the Trident, all us mermaids have been in hiding," Caspian says as he pulls his mermaid tail to his chest.
"I couldn't take it anymore. I felt trapped, so I ran away. But when I ended up at Oceanside High, I was alone. No one could see the real me. And then I found you two, my super sea besties, and now everything is right in the world," Caspian says as he flips and hugs Arista to his side before lying back on the sand.
"If it wasn't for this whole mermaid versus kraken war, both of you and I could be this free all the time," Reuben says.
Caspian gives a side glance to Arista, indicating her to say something to Reuben.
"Oh, sure. Yeah. But, I mean, three teenagers can't fix history," she says.
"Wait. What's the first rule of being a mathlete?" Reuben says as he gets up.
"Hmm. Never talk about being a mathlete?" Caspian guesses.
"No. We have to evaluate the problem. Caspian, Arista, come on. There must be some way to end this war so you won't have to hide from the krakens and I won't have to become a prophesied prince warrior of an interspecies vendetta," Reuben says happily as Arista gives a confused look.
"You won't become a who now of a what now?" she asks as Reuben looks at her with a small smile.
"Well, there is one way," Caspian says.
"Picture this: Caspian Van Der Zee, Arista Maera and Reuben Gillman save the seas by finding the Trident of Oceanus," Caspian says.
"That giant fork my grandma's so obsessed with?" Reuben asks.
"Yes. The Trident. Stay with me. Once we have the Trident, we can show that there doesn't have to be a war anymore. It can be a symbol of peace," Caspian over dramatises.
"Then your grandmother wouldn't have to train me for battle," Arista adds.
"I can live in the ocean and on land as the real me. No more fighting," Reuben says.
"And the mermaids wouldn't have to live in fear anymore. No more hiding," Caspian adds.
"No fighting," Reuben says.
"No hiding," Caspian says.
"No fighting! No hiding! No fighting! No hiding!" the three chant as they hold each others hands and spin around.
