"Mother!" Agatha yells as she enters the throne room.
"And here I thought I knew how to make an entrance," Grandmamah says as she calmly turns to her daughter.
"Stay away from my son," she says shooting daggers at her mother.
"You mean my grandson? The prince? The heir to the throne?" she asks.
"Still trying to get your way. Some things never change," Agatha scoffs.
"You're trying to force your son into a life he doesn't want. Now, where have I heard that before?" she asks, pretending to think.
"The difference is I didn't raise my son to be a reflection of my glory," she states.
"Well, that's certainly true. You raised him to run away and hide," Grandmamah says.
"You still think I was scared to fight. You think it was easy to start over? To risk everything? I never stopped fighting. I fight for my family. I fight for who I love. You? You just love to fight! He's just a kid. A sweet, naive kid. And now he's in trouble. He made friends with mermaids," she explains.
"What?" Grandmamah says, rising from her throne.
"Yes. The son of the mermaid king, and a girl named Arista," she explains.
"Son? Valdimar never had a son," Grandmamah said.
"Reuben," Agatha gasped as she paled.
"I've heard that name before, Arista. Come on," Grandmamah says as the two swim through a tunnel.
Reuben, with his new found determination, finally makes it to the centre of the black sphere, and sees the trident. He grabs it, as he then notices a small pearl pendant hanging on the trident. Reuben curiously picks it up and looks at it, seeing the initials 'A' and 'C' on it. He shrugs his shoulders a bit and swims out with the trident and the pendant.
Reuben swims out of the current and sees Caspian and Arista looking at him in awe at the trident.
"We did it," he says happily as he shows the trident to the two and starts to glow.
"I've waited 15 years for this. 15 years of waiting to get revenge on your mother...," Caspian says as he grabs a hold of the trident.
"What?" Reuben asks in shock.
"...dethrone your grandmother and lay waste to the kraken kingdom," Caspian says twirling the trident around.
"Caspian?" Reuben asks in worry and fear.
"Oh, there is no Caspian," he chuckles.
"I am Valdimar," he says as he transforms into a large red mermaid, with white hair that looked like smoke and blue outlines. He had large red eyes and became about the same size as Caspian.
REUBEN: What's... What's happening to you?
"Surprised? I'm a flippin' mermaid," he says in Caspian's voice.
Valdimar then stabs the trident into Reuben's arm and drains him of his powers.
"And you're just a dumb teenager," he says as Reuben starts to sink, due to the loss of his powers.
"All that rah-rah-rah was so that you could free this for me, me, me. My super sea bestie," he cackles swimming around Reuben.
"I trusted you," Reuben says.
"Both of you," Reuben sadly looks up to see Arista in her true mermaid form.
She had almost become the same size as Reuben, and now had purple skin, with blue outlines, blue eyes and her white ombre tail still remained.
Arista looked down in shame as Reuben couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"You just got played, dum-dum," Valdimar said as he tail slapped Reuben into a large boulder.
He fell to the ground in pain as he wasn't able to fight back and Valdimar whacked a large boulder onto him, making him fall unconscious.
Valdimar smiles at his work and Arista turns to him in anger.
"This wasn't the plan! You said he wouldn't have to get hurt!" she yelled.
"Oh, you didn't actually believe that, now did you?" he asks slyly, swimming around her.
"The deal is off, Valdimar. Give me back my sister," Arista says.
"Well, heres the thing about the deal, honey. You promised to help me lay waste onto these disgusting humans and the kraken kingdom and I promised your sister's safe return, no harm, no foul. And yet I don't see those any screaming people or defeated krakens, do you?" he reminds her, swimming circles around her as she remembers the deal she made.
"Promise you'll return her," she sighs in defeat.
"Without a scratch," he smirks.
Valdimar then appears from the depths of the sea and cackles loudly as he watches people scream at him. Bliss blows her whistle in panic as everyone covers they're ears.
"The face of death," Gordon screams as people run away.
"Oh, no," Arthurs dreads as he sees Valdimar in the distance.
"Hello? Is Mrs. Gillman home? Knock, knock!" Valdimar says as he punches a hole into the house she sold.
"Hey! That house was in escrow!" Agatha says as she appears from the water.
"To the boat, Davey. There's kraken to kill," Gordon says running towards his boat.
"Wait!" Arthur shouts as he blocks Gordons path.
"Gillman. Are you here to help me kill the monsters?" he asks excitedly.
"No. That's my wife," he says.
"What? But if she is a... and-and you're her... that means... Please don't kill me, kraken monster," he panics.
"Pull yourself together, man," Arthur said as he slapped him, "We've got a mermaid to hunt."
"Thanks. I needed that," Gordon says.
"Where is my son?" Agatha angrily asks.
"Oh, we already said our goodbyes. But not before he gave me this," he says, pointing the trident at Agatha.
"The greatest warrior in the sea, hiding amongst humans. What a waste," Valdimar comments.
"No one talks to my daughter like that. Except me," Grandmamah says as she appears.
"You've grown older, Queen," Valdimar states.
"Older and meaner," she says.
"Lucky for me, mermaids don't age. Well, I hope you both put up more of a fight than Reuben," he says as Arista appears at his side and the four fight.
