In the elevator that ascended towards Padmé's building, Anakin's nervousness and excitement were palpable. He had gone to great lengths to ensure he looked presentable—adjusting his best set of Jedi robes, meticulously combing his hair, and seeking Obi-Wan's approval on more than one occasion. His anticipation was undeniable, and it was clear that his heart was racing in tandem with the elevator's ascent.

Anakin's fidgeting and questions about his appearance drew an amused smile from Obi-Wan, who couldn't help but find Padawan's behavior both endearing and slightly exasperating. "Anakin, you look fine," Obi-Wan reassured, his voice carrying a playful note. "You've checked your appearance so many times, it's as if you think you might forget your face. You seem a little on edge. I haven't felt you this tense since we fell into that nest of gundarks."

Anakin's grin remained unwavering as he turned to Obi-Wan, his blue eyes shining with excitement. "You fell into that nightmare, master, and I rescued you, remember?"

Obi-Wan chuckles, "Ah yes. You're sweating. Relax. Take a deep breath. This is just another mission."

"I'm trying, Master, but this is different. I haven't seen her in ten years," he said, his voice carrying a mix of fondness and longing. "I can feel her, Obi-Wan. It's like a part of me that's been missing is finally back in place."

Obi-Wan's gaze softened as he regarded his enthusiastic Padawan. He understood the depth of the bond Anakin shared with Sombra, and he couldn't help but feel a mixture of empathy and amusement at the intensity of Anakin's emotions. He had been surprised when the council informed them that Som would be joining them. They had been so careful to keep the two apart, that the change of heart caught him off guard. Obi was excited to see her again but nothing compared to Anakin's pure joy and euphoria.

"Just remember, Anakin, we're here for a mission—protecting Senator Amidala," he reminded, his tone gentle. "Don't let your emotions get the best of you."

Anakin's smile didn't waver, but his excitement was tempered by Obi-Wan's wise counsel. "I won't, Master," he assured, his voice filled with determination. "But I can't help feeling this way. I've missed her so much."

Obi-Wan's lips quirked into a small smile as he placed a reassuring hand on Anakin's shoulder. "I know you have, Anakin," he said softly. "I have missed her as well. Just remember to stay focused and be prepared for whatever comes our way. Besides, it has been 10 years, she has likely changed a lot and may be entirely different from what we remember. You must prepare yourself for that possibility."

As the elevator reached its destination and the doors slid open, Anakin took a deep breath, his anticipation growing. He couldn't deny that seeing Sombra again was a moment he had been waiting for, a reunion that had been long overdue.

As the apartment doors slid open, the cheerful and familiar voice of Jar Jar Binks greeted Anakin and Obi-Wan. The Gungan's exuberance was infectious, and Anakin's lips curled into a wide smile as he exchanged pleasantries with the ever-enthusiastic creature. The two Jedi followed Jar Jar into the apartment, the excitement in Anakin's chest almost palpable.

Padmé Amidala stood gracefully in the living area, a warm smile gracing her lips as she welcomed them. Anakin's eyes instinctively scanned the room, his anticipation reaching its peak, yet his heart sank when he didn't spot Sombra. Disappointment and distraction mingled within him, making it challenging to concentrate on the conversation at hand.

Obi-Wan addresses the senator with respect as he bows, "It's a pleasure to see you again, M'Lady."

Padmé greets them with a kind smile, "It has been far too long Master Kenobi. Ani? My goodness, you've grown!"
