Chapter 54

Draco just looked down at Harry in confusion still, his eyebrows furrowing and when he didn't move out of the way immediately Harry just took a step forward so he could get in. 

Draco let him, moving out of the way and letting the door close behind him. 

Harry walked in and set the cat down on the floor. 

It instantly ran under the table and Harry sighed with a smile rolling his eyes. 

Draco walked up to Harry, still extremely confused.

"Where have you been?" asked, looking down at Harry in what looked like slight worry.

Harry turned around to look at Draco, "uh, outside?" Harry said like it was obvious and then turned back around to look at the cat.

Draco watched in astonishment as Harry crouched down and reached for the cat again. He shook his head in confusion, "How did you get a cat?" he asked, looking at the way the cat looked at him only and hissed.

Draco seemed a bit offended and gave the cat a dirty look back before Harry picked him up again and gave his head soft pats. 

The cat seemed to start to slowly like Harry and he let Harry hold and pet him now, still hissing at Draco though.

"I found him." Harry said casually, continuing to pet the cat and then looked back up at Draco.

Draco thought for a moment, still giving the cat a dirty look, "And exactly what are you planning to do with it?" he asked, still not sure why Harry just stole a cat off the streets.

Harry looked down at the cat and then back up at Draco with a shrug, "Take care of it of course." he answered.

"How?" Draco kept asking questions, "With what? It's not like we have food for it." he said.

Harry stopped petting the cat, his eyes focusing on the ground for a second in thought before looking back up at Draco, "Hold him for a second." he said while taking a step towards him with the cat.

"Wha-" Draco was trying to object but Harry shoved the cat to his chest even though he and that cat didn't seem to get along with each other and without any explanation Harry apparated out of there.

Draco was left there with the cat now and out of nowhere thunder roared loudly which spooked the cat, causing it to scratch him and jump out of his arms. 

Draco glared at the cat as he looked at the scratch on his hand and the cat hid under the table once again. 

Draco was left even more puzzled because Harry had just left to god knows where with a bloody cat from the street and zero explanation on where he left to now. 

Draco still had the stupid kiss they had in mind which just made things worse for both of them because he kind of wanted to ask Harry what it meant for them but if they just ignored it completely that would be awkward for the both of them.

He at least tried to cooperate with the cat by just holding it like Harry told him to but when he crouched down to get him under the table he started running. 

Draco cursed once again and he looked for the cat before chasing it. 

A few moments of chasing the damn cat and no luck. 

Draco was about to give up when he heard a crack and Harry apparated back right in front of him. 

They almost collided with each other but Draco managed to move out of the way before they could actually make contact.
