Draco woke up feeling hotter than usual, a sheen layer of sweat beginning to form on his forehead.
He cracked his eyes open, feeling the source of heat right on top of him.
He furrowed his brows and put his hand to the side of Harry's face, feeling him quivering.
Harry was sweating, his arms still around Draco's neck with his cheeks red. He looked restless.
"Hey-" Draco's voice was raspy and he cleared his throat, trying to sit up, "How.. Are you alright? What's wrong with you?"
He sat up against the headboard, setting the blanket to the side and keeping Harry steady between his legs.
"You're burning up." Draco stated with concern, his hand going to Harry's forehead to properly feel his temperature.
"But.. I'm cold.." Harry told him, leaning against Draco and resting his eyes when he felt his hand on his forehead.
Rain was still tapping against the roof of the house but the room was light enough to be able to see.
Draco wondered what the time was as he moved away from Harry, letting him lay down on his back.
"Where are you going..?" Harry asked when Draco stood up, reaching his hand up to grab Draco's.
"I'm going to get a thermometer to see what's wrong. Though it's plainly obvious you have a horrible fever." He muttered under his breath.
"Stay here and don't cover yourself with the blanket. I'll be right back." Draco promised and let go of Harry's hand, apparating to his house to grab what he needed.
Harry lay there, his eyes closed as he quivered on his bed, feeling like he was freezing but when he hugged his arms he could feel the sweat on his body sticking to his hoodie.
Draco was quick to come back and he had a thermometer in one hand and a wet rag in the other.
Draco kneeled at the edge of the bed and pointed the thermal gun at Harry's head, his temperature reading 101.3.
"Merlin, how do you feel cold?" He asked and set down the thermal gun, placing the damp towel on Harry's forehead.
Harry sighed, the feeling soothing but not helping his shivers.
Draco pursed his lips and straightened back up, "If you want to warm up you will have to let your body temperature neutralize." He said and helped Harry sit up.
"I'm going to take off your hoodie, alright?" He said and lifted Harry's hoodie when he nodded.
He set the thick piece of fabric to the side and Harry laid back down, feeling the cold air against his flushed skin and quivering more.
Draco looked down at Harry with a furrow in his brow.
"I told you not to be out in the rain.." he muttered to himself, gently running his hand through Harry's hair.
Harry was going to protest and tell him the rain has nothing to do with it but they heard a crack on the other side of Harry's door.
They stared for a moment, listening to Hermione's familiar voice greet Charles.
There was a knock and the doorknob turned, the door quietly creaking open.
Hermione peaked her head around the door to make sure nobody was almost naked this time.
