This book does explore some dark themes like depression, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, violence, child abuse, and suicide. This book also contains methods of discipline, including but not limited to, non-sexual spankings of minors and corner time/timeouts. If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, then this book may not be suitable for you. I will not put trigger warnings on the start of each chapter, as it may spoil some plots, so as I previously said, if any of these topics make you uncomfortable this book may not be for you. This is a Chicago pd fanfic and I do not own any of the characters except my own, like Adeline, Greg, and Talia.
Now thank you to you guys for choosing to read this book and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated, and plot ideas are welcome.
Below are some images of Adeline's aesthetic and some quotes to summarise her. This is just how I imagine her to be in my head and you are welcome to imagine her differently in yours.
--------------------------------------------------"I'm very picky with whom I give my energy to. I prefer to reserve my time, intensity, and spirit, exclusively to those who reflect sincerity".
