My Way to Get To You (MxM)

Chapter 8

As the sun nearly down, the king's cart leaving Easton's place, they're gonna going back to the palace. Then suddenly General Anton make us stop in a river on a way we back.

"Watch your ears !" he said, "And prepare for the worst !"

We haven't quite understand for his order, but then we quickly understand, from the shrubbery near the river, from the tree, and from the river it self come out some people in black clothes and sharp sword.

"Black Lotus clan !" shout general Anton. "Prepare your sword ! Kaiden, get the king and princess out of here !"

A big fight happen in that beautiful river. I took the King and princess's cart and run from that mess. Some of them follow us. I struggle between drive the cart and fight with all of them, they're strong, Black Lotus Clan is our strong competitor.

I'm busy to manage the cart and my sword to someone that's attacking us, I'm don't realise a big sword coming behind me, and to late to avoiding it, but that man suddenly collaps and fall from the cart.

Prince Shelton behind me with a sword full of blood. "Drive this cart properly, I'm gonna take care of them !"

I drives that cart passing trough the river, while prince Shelton fight with the black lotus clan member that following us. Then we get to the edge of the road, in front of us there's a broken bridge that we have to extra careful to pass it trough, while that clan still following us, although some of them has been killed by the prince.

With his help, I manage to pass through the bridge, bring the king and princess to a hidden cave. In that  cave, some of our army already preapred to escort the king and princess Natalie to the Palace.

"Commander Kaiden, we're the South Troops ready to move !" said one of them

"Make sure the king and princess safe to the palace, I'm gonna help General Anton !"

"I need you to come with me, Kaiden, you have to come back to me !"said Natalie

I smilled at her, "I will be." then take my leave.

At the bridge, I see more people come to chasing the king. They're make it difficult to prince Shelton to handle them. I come to help him as quick as I can, and as I expect it, they really strong.

Prince Shelton himself looks exhausted, then suddenly one of them atack him that make him fall to the river. I panicked. I know Prince Shelton is really strong, but he's never good in water. I can't think straight, I also jump to the river to save him. I can't think anything else, I can't lose him, I can't let him go like that.

I've reached him, but he's unconsious. I pulled him to the land, try to get out the water from his lungs. I panic, can't think myself without him, what must I do if he really can't go on. I don't know what I said anymore.

"Hang on ! Hang on for me ! I can't live without you, I need you to come back for me ! Please come back ! I love you !"

I give him my breath to his mouth. Then suddenly he's coughing, then some water come out from his mouth. Then I can breath normally again.

Last thing I remember is I put a fire in the cave, then make a some kind of blanket out of a grass for the prince, then I feel so tired and I sleep, just like that. I feel so much relieved since prince Shelton looks so much better. He is breathing normally, and his body feels warmer in every second. I don't care I feel hungry, I just feel so tired, and sleep.

Not long after, I smell something nice from my sleep, is this dream ? because I just wake up and some fish is ready to eat in front of me, there's some fruits too. Or, are those fight is the dream ? No. I'm still in that cave near that dangerous river. My clothes still a little wet after I save the prince. 

Prince ! Oh ! God, where is he now ?

There is no sign of him near me. He's suppose to lay weak down there, near the fire, now he's gone ! No, General Anton is gonna kill me if he know I lose the prince, the crown prince. I rush out of the cave, I must find prince Shelton. But, when I'm a few inch out the cave, something's bumps me.

"Prince Shelton !" I shouted "Are you alright ? are you hurt somewhere, I've make sure I've put some herb medicine I know  in your bruises !" I know I sound just like a worried mother, but I can't helped it ! This reaction just came out without I even realised it.

He hugs me thightly, then kiss my head, since when he this sweet ? I quickly realised this odd situation. "Where have you been ? You just dead a few moments ago !" I said then make my way out of his comfortable holds.

He laugh "I'm not dead, weren't you save me ? out of worries ?"

"Considered it as me paying your debt for saving my life back then."

"No ! It's more than that ! You've said it yourself !" He said while holding my hand and that fierce look come trough my eyes again. I can't help but see those eyes back. Those eyes seems play a magic in me to see it back, I can't turn away.

"What do you mean ?" I said hestitantly. Now I turn away, I succeed to not see those eyes, but I can't escape from his grip. He still holds me, how fast his recovery. A moment ago, he is lying in front of me barely even breathing, now he got all his stregth, grab my to hands, enable me to move, he force me to stay close to him, and this is bad for me.

"You've said it ! You love me ! Don't you think I'm not hear it. I heard it loud and clear, you can't live without me !"

"You just delirious, I... I.. I never said those things !" Am I ? Are those things I said when I think I nearly lost him ? The man I really am can't live without ? Am I really love him ?"

"No I'm not ! You just finally realised it ! But I know for long ago, you have feelings for me !"

"Yes, I admire you ! As a prince, As a son of a nice king who helps me and my brother and sister to survived, then give me a position in this army, no more !"

"No ! It's more ! It's definetaly more ! I knew it you're feeling it too ! Just the same like I feel it for you, Please Kaiden, don't make me wait for you again, don't make me wondering your feeling for me. You just torture me even more after I hear you love me but now you denied it."

"No, Prince, don't be like this." Who is it ? Who is this man in front of me ? It's not the usuall proud Prince Shelton. He's fragile, and he's begging me for him, he can't be prince Shelton, but he's too sweet to ignore. My heart is in its limit, why are you like this ?

He hugs me tightly, "Please don't say it's one sided, I know you feel it too Kaiden, I know you feel that love in us. Don't bother our rules, our society, even my father and sister, give us a chance to feel free from ourself, I know you want it too."

I lost, his sweet sound, his warm hugs, his pleaded, throwing away all my worries. I hug him back, I'm not realised it but some tears come from my eyes. "I.... I really love you, I can't helped it !" I said it ! I don't care anymore, he's just to sweet do denied.

He hold me even tighter. "Let's get away from here, I wanna be with you, just the two of us, to declare our love even just a while."
