Sadashiv scanned the area lazily while he was waiting. Dushyant was getting impatient on the other hand. He rolled his neck from side to side and huffed.
"You, younglings get impatient rather quickly these days." Sadashiv commented offhandedly.
"Maybe that's why we get things done rather than waiting for centuries." Dushyant replied.
"And what exactly have you gotten done?" Sadashiv asked with an arched eyebrow. Dushyant remained silent and stared at him only.
"Well, that's a lot of 'nothing'." Sadashiv remarked mockingly."Doesn't it equals to your accomplishments exactly?" Dushyant mocked back.
Before he knew it, in the blink of an eye, Dushyant found himself kneeling on the ground with his jaw exposed as Sadashiv held him from the back of his neck.
"You're not even worthy of knowing or asking about my accomplishments boy." Sadashiv said calmly and increased the pressure on his neck just enough to deliver the message that it could be snapped at any time.
"I know after mating Sreeshanvika, you plan to challenge my Upagrya. But here's an advice, Gaurav can best you at any given day even though he's always cautious. So, don't make that mistake unless you want a very short mated life." Sadashiv said in his ear before releasing him.
Dushyant gritted his jaw in anger, but didn't say anything. His ego had just taken a huge blow. He stood upright and calmed himself. Two things mattered the most when it came to Vrikajinas. Bloodline and experience. Dushyant was no fool and knew to learn his lessons properly. This little incident had made two things very clear.
One, though he came from a strong bloodline, experience could beat him anytime until he gained enough of it.
Two, Sadashiv may keep him happy, but he would not accept any disobedience or disrespect.
His eyes went to the footsteps that were getting closer to them. Sadashiv straightened and bowed along with Dushyant.
"Is everything going according to our plan?"
"Yes. You'll not be disappointed, commander Dhundumara." Sadashiv said. "But ---" He trailed off and looked at Dushyant to deliver the message.
"Mayasur is getting impatient. He no longer wants to keep Arudra alive."
"Arudra has to live. He can't die without giving me what I want."
"I don't think he would be off any use. Centuries of torture has turned him mad."
"That's Arudra, we are talking about. Son of Samrat Kaushik and Pritha, the proficient. The most skilled werewolf I have ever seen in my life. If nothing else, he will be my weapon to control Bhargav."
"You intend to tell Bhargav that you captured Arudra?" Sadashiv arched an eyebrow at the absurd thought. He could as well willingly put his head under a sword.
"Absolutely. And when he hears, he will mindlessly go to rescue his brother and fall into my trap." Dhundumara replied with a smirk. "Rest of them are gone. And he and Arudra will join them soon too."
"Such a sad end for the once known great dynasty. Sometimes, I feel sorry for them."
"They themselves are responsible for this." Dhundumara commented with a shrug. "There's a saying, that action never leave you bare. More often than not, it's the children who has to pay for their parents sins. They're only paying for the sins of their mother."
"Well, it all turned out in our favor. So, we can't complain, can we?" Sadashiv said with a smirk.
"Just be careful and make sure everything goes according to our plan. I will not tolerate any mistakes."
