•7• Awkward Settings

She was gonna die, and that was that. I couldn't find away to tell Michael I saw some of the symptoms show. He'd be devastated and I couldn't bare seeing him down. He was sort of like a brother to me, but that's notall I didn't want Melody knowing that she was gonna pass away. The reason this being is because she's always heard me saying she's gonnabe okay and nothing is gonna take her away from me. Just like always... I was wrong.

"Melody it's time for dinner." I said opening her door. A smiled made it's way to my face as she cuddled against Michael with a smile on her face.

"I'll bring her down man." He said throwing me a genuine smile. I nodded and walked out the room closing the door back.

"Watch where you're going faggot!" That guy Jason hissed at me as I was 4 centimetres from running into him. "What is up with you? I barely even know you and you're treating me like shit." I grumbled crossing my arms over my chest.

The atmosphere became tense as we stood there staring at each other.

"You don't deserve her.." He said in a deep menacing voice.

As soon as I opened my mouth to speak Melody's bedroom door flung open. "Let's eat shall we?" Michael said smiling wide and carrying Melody down the steps with me and Jason following behind.

"The meal was great Justin." Michael said patting his belly and leaning back in his seat.

"Oh don't blame me, this was all Marie." I said chuckling and pointing to Marie who sat across from me. "No no." She whispered waving us off.

I looked over at Melody and frowned seeing Jason whispering something in her ear. My eyes widened as I heard a whimper leave her lips, and her shoulders tensed.

A low animalistic growl released from my mouth as I saw his hand grip her thigh.

"Jason that's enough!" Michael hissed slamming his hand down on the table. "What'd I do?" He asked instantly moving away from Mel.

"Come here baby." I whispered patting my lap for her to get into. She whimpered and got out of her seat to walk over to me.

"C-can w-we go u-upstair-rs?" She asked looking in my eyes.

"Of course baby." I mumbled. I stood out of my seat and lifted her into my arms. My heart broke as I felt her petite body tremble in my arms.

I shot a glare at the back of Jason's head as he argued with Michael about him not doing anything but speaking with Melody.

"It's going to be okay, sweetheart." I said in her ear as I stroked her back walking up the steps. "N-no it w-won't." Melody snapped back sending a numb feeling throughout my body.

I could feel my heart breaking slowly but shortly. It was all his fault she felt this way, but deep down I knew I had a part of her feeling this way. I wanted to stop these feelings for her but I couldn't. This was a mental feeling I honestly couldn't fix. All I know though is that I'll try my hardest to fix it.
