It was soon October it had been a few months since Hot shot's last surgery. Hot shot was happy his new friends were in the same kindergarten class as him.

However things took a scary turn towards the end of October. Hot shot was outside playing with Fireplug when he suddenly collapsed. His mother was home and noticed. Hot shot was taken to Texas children's hospital immediately.

Hot shot didn't know what was going on when he came to in the car which was driving. He just felt very weak and terrible. "Ugh," Hot shot said. "Mummy where are we going?" he asked.

"Oh good you woke up," Quickshadow said. "We are taking you to Texas children's hospital right now, you passed out," she told him.

"Am I going to be okay?" Hot shot asked.

"I don't know to be honest. But we are going to help you get better okay?" Quickshadow said.

"My hard feels like it is really pounding," Hot shot said.

"I bet it is," Quickshadow said.

"I feel terrible, I feel tired and weak," Hot shot said.

"You don't look or sound too good either," Quickshadow said. "We are taking to the hospital so they can find the problem," she said.

Once there Hot shot was taken to get all kinds of tests done. They were tests he has had before. The EKG and the Echo. He also got a cardiac catheterization. They also tested his blood oxygen levels. His cardiologist looked at the tests and did a full exam on Hot shot. She now knew what was wrong and it wasn't good at all.

"I have Hot shot's test results and I hate to tell you this but Hot shot has end of stage heart failure," Dr. Ahsan said.

"What should we do?" Quickshadow asked.

"What can be done?" Heatwave asked.

"Hot shot needs a heart transplant," Dr. Ahsan said.

"Heart transplant?" Hot shot asked.

"It means you need a new heart Hot shot," Dr. Ahsan said.

"Oh," Hot shot said.

"We need to keep an eye on you here in the hospital because of how weak you are," Dr. Ahsan said.

"Awe," Hot shot said he didn't like the sound of that at all.

Hot shot was soon hooked up to drip to give him medicine. The needle kind of hurt when it went in. But it wasn't too bad. Now Hot shot could relax as the medicine went into him. Hot shot was kind of worried about getting a heart transplant.

Hot shot didn't know what do or expect from it. Hot shot was very scared and nervous. Hot shot saw his friends were there too.

"I need a heart transplant," Hot shot said.

"I need a heart transplant too," Hoist said.

"I need a heart transplant as well," Medix said.

"As do I," Whirl said.

"Same here," Wedge said.

"Well this is weird," Hot shot admitted.

"Very weird," Whirl agreed.

They now had to wait patiently for the their heart transplants. They were hooked up to medicine to help keep their hearts stable. They were also hooked up to machines that read their pulse and heartbeat.

It was going to probably be a long wait for the right heart to come in for the kids. It was sad and scary to say the least.

Hot shot was laying in a hospital bed hoping to have a heart transplant soon.  Even though the thought of some time soon of having somebody else's heart made him sad. But he was having a lot of questions.
