A crying child is wandering alone in an alleyway, he was lost, alone and it was raining. The sky was grey and muggy and the streets were empty. The boy cries clutching his bear, he notices a child his age rummaging through the trash bin. The child's head emerges from the bins, it was a girl around his age, with black hair and red eyes, and a pair of cat ears poking out of her head. The two stare at each other quietly.
"Who are you?" The boy asked wiping away his tears. The girl gazes at him and tells him "Kara! What's yours?" She hops from the can and presents her hand to shake. The boy smiles, still with tear soaked eyes, "Hal." He answers. "Are you lost? I can take you home, I know this place like the back of my hand!" Kara exclaims and grabs his hand. The two walk out to the sidewalk.
The two manage to make it to Hal's home. Kara knocks on the door, a stressed blonde woman answers, she sees Hal and hugs him without a word. "Mommy, I'm sorry, I ran out because the other kids had so much fun." Hal started to resume crying clutching his mother. "I know, I promise to take you out. Just be safe." The woman sobs. Kara smiles and starts to walk down the steps. "Hey, kid?" The woman asks. "Yes?" Kara asks turning around. "Do you want to live with us?" The woman asks eyeing the rags she wore. "Come inside. Its cold out." The woman drags Kara inside to give her a bath and a home. They were family from then on, the mother was grateful for Kara, and took her in from the rain. Hal had met Kara....."Hal?". "Haaaaal." A voice called out jostling him out of his sleep. It was Fey, he woke the sleepy blonde. The dream was a memory, a pleasant one, a one that reminded of Hal what he has to fight for. As Hal got up, he felt heavier, he looked around and to his pleasure, he has a mechanical arm. The prosthetic was lined with red markings that resembled vines. He tries to move the limb and it was as perfectly good as the real deal. As He flexed his fingers, intrigued by its joints, Jeta walked in the room. He tells the two to get out to the front. They follow him to the living room and to the left he presents Hal a door that leads to a flight of stairs that led up. Hal followed suit behind Jeta. The door upstairs was opened, the real sunlight shone and blinded Hal for a bit.
They were in a quaint cabin, the sunlight peeling through the windows, this luxurious little home was a "mere disguise for what lay under it. "Oh the kid's awake?." He hears the woman, it was the same woman who was watching him get flung by Fey yesterday. He got a good look at her, a slender frame, short brunette hair with ochre yellow eyes. Dressed in a rather shiny black crop top, blue jeans and a white overcoat on her back she hoisted a giant silver case. She was a yellow sunrise. "The names's Aria, nice to see you all back in shape." She teases him while patting his shoulder . "Aria, you and Fey go on ahead to Essuchi, we need you to clear out the area, Lyra probably knows we are coming and we need to protect the kid." Jeta says, while holding a gas canister. "Awww why can't I go with you?" Aria flirtatiously complains. "We both know Fey isn't the best when it comes to guarding someone." Jeta replies. "Fineeee" Aria sighs defeated, and walks out the cabin door with Fey, following behind. And they take her car and drive off. Leaving the two alone, Jeta looks at Hal, and walks to the garage. He brings out a case. He opened it wide and displayed its contents. It was a red jacket, just like the one he wore the night before, but made of stronger material.Hal's new jacket
Hal was pleased at the sight of his new jacket, and swiftly put it on. "I fitted it just for you, now then BEHOLD." Jeta pulls off a tarp to his left revealing a black motorcycle with azure lights adorning the wheels. The frontal carapace of the vehicle was adorned with a fox masked pattern lined by blue lights. The seats big enough for two, Jeta starts the ignition revving the machine loudly and lively. "Hop on kid. Let's save your girlfriend." Jeta says calmly, Hal's face flusters. "SHE IS NOT MY GIRLFRIEND, SHE JUST IS...." Hal was pondering what his rebuttal was, he had none. "See? Now hop on." Jeta says while the garage gates open wide. Hal seats behind Jeta on the bike. Jeta pushes 90 on the pedal, Hal hugs Jeta tightly in fear, and they drive off in the sunset for a late-night drive. As night fell, and Jeta drove, the wind blew Hal's hair, it was freeing, exhilarating, the night sky was streaked by a pink crack shattering the monotony of the black night sky. Hal was taken aback from the beauty of the celestial world, he stared up and yelled in excitement from the midnight ride, Jeta remained focused on driving, and red particles of light flew out of Hal's hair and faded. Hal looked up in the sky, marveling the sight he's experiencing beyond the armored terrace he lived on. Holding tight with Jeta, he drifted off into the night, the breeze lulling him to sleep.
They made it to their destination at the crack of dawn. Jeta rented out a hotel room in the city, As the two got in their room, Jeta passed out on the bed, exhausted, and needing energy for the night to come. "Are we actually, going to raid Lyra's home to save Kara?" Hal asks plopping on the bed, munching on some snacks he picked up at the hotel reception. "Sure, sure kid." Jeta mumbles face on a pillow. "Get rest Hal, we got a long night ahead of us tomorrow." Jeta says before drifting off to sleep, Hal knowing what he was about to do tonight, he burrowed under his bed sheets and started counting sheep.
In The prison. Lyra stands in front of Kara with a smug expression in front of a screen that shows Hal resting on the hotel room Kara's face maintaining her glare of fury sat firm.
"Well, well well. Looks like your knight in shining armor did come." Lyra smirks at Kara. "I'll make your life a living hell if you lay a finger on his head." Kara threatens Lyra. "Oh my, well I won't touch his head then, the rest of him however..." Lyra pauses with thoughts of what she'll do to Hal while Kara watches. Kara snaps and punches the barrier so hard it causes the ground to shake. Lyra was taken aback by her burst of aggression and force but maintains her smug composure as she walks off to the hallway and leaves the prison. She enters her balcony in her palace. A giant hovering island above the city of Essuchi. "Now we wait." She mutters to herself as she eyes the sunset, eager to snag her prey.
As night falls and the city lights started to do their magic, someone is waiting in the shadows of an alley.
