Dawn broke over the city in a beautiful rosè, the sky gleamed reflecting morning dew and mist. On the veined floating island carrying the castle with harbors and ships docked to it, it shuddered by a clashing force.
Jeta and Lyra were in a dance of bloodsport and grace clashing blades and rushing eachother. This world was built upon Lyra's desire and Jeta was going to shatter it. Jeta dashes left to strike at Lyra's midsection but she grows an appendage strengthening to metal, but it didn't stop his blade. He shattered her midsection and cut her cleanly in two.
Jeta kicked her front half off and stabbed her lower half. He tightened his grip and blue flames emerged from his sword burning the body to nothing. Lyra regrew her legs and flew at Jeta at blinding speeds faster than light. Jeta's eyes read her movement and jumped and cut her down with a spinning slashes, tearing flesh and bone. He wasn't having any flashy attacks or bravado, he was intent to slaughter.
Lyra and Jeta stale guarded causing blue and white sparks to fly, burning the area's around them. "ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU, IM LIVID!!" Lyra screams losing her cool. She strikes faster building momentum with her speed causing after images to be left in Jeta's views but he strikes true stabbing deep in her chest and releasing blue flames into her causing her more pain.
She laughs as she gets cooked internally.
Jeta throws her to the ground and flicks the blood off his sword, his facial expression turns disgusted after he stained his sword with his blood. The black coating on his blade started to wear away showing glowing blue cracks in its shell. Suddenly Lyra breaks through Jeta's senses and kicks Jeta square in the face, knocking him back. He retaliates by flipping high and landing a strike at her head, Lyra parries it with a heavy strike with her sword that ripples the force which causes the clouds near by to dissipate from the aftershocks, the island started to collapse and crumble from the force of the clash. Quakes could be felt on the other side of the world as Jeta presses deep. Jeta notice's Lyra's chest started to glow a bright white light. She was charging energy to release a devastating light show. Jeta jumped back before she started to shoot out in various directions, he moved smoothly throughout the rain of hell and sliced light beams in half with ease
.In the city below Aria and Fey were eyeing the lights above staring at the rapid succession of deflects and changes in direction. Their eyes widen as a groan from the metal up in the island start to cave in on itself. It slowly to screech.
Lyra charges forward, close enough to hear his heart beat, leaves a barrage of sharp thrusts at Jeta's stomach. He tries to dodge but he gets riddled with holes all over, he coughs up blood and starts gushing out the sweet red pools glistening in the pink sunrise. He pays no mind to it and rips out his lower abdominal area, the flesh filling in instantly, leaving the wound nonexistent. Jeta swings rapidly at her building up momentum. Lyra responded with her own swings. They started to make the air ring and screech with their increasing trade of strikes, both not willing to give up in this dance of bloodshed. Their arms are barely visible with the speeds of movement. Jeta manages to break through her offense and kicks her high in the air, he jumps to impale her, but it was all a ploy. She twists her head and smiles at him, her fingers snap and releases a blinding light from her wrist that sets the heavens ablaze. The city below could only stand in awe as it lights the sky. Its envelopes and burns the island to rubble, everyone on the island was disintegrated, burnt to ash by its flash of harsh light. Lyra and Jeta remained amongst the slaughter, Jeta was left a scorched mess on the ground, and she stood over him.
Jeta's body was burnt and oozing with red dark liquids, it seemed unresponsive, his eyes were empty as the grey sky left from the blast. "The laws of nature, something you never understood. The weak must obey the strong or face destruction, you were the strongest yet, you obeyed the weak, not just that you took a knee to defend them." She sighed and walked slowly towards Jeta to finish him off. She stabs right through him with her sword, and he fades to dust. Her eyes slowly widened as she feels a presence reaping over and a hand on her shoulder. She rushes to turn around as she feels hot blue flames surrounding her, Jeta was behind her, his eyes burning azure, his pupils were left hidden by the blaze. His hand tightly gripped on her shoulder as he growled, he wasn't himself anymore he was a beast in the guise of a man and it just let his fangs come out. He gripped one sword tightly the blade had no ebony shell, it was a bright azure blaze. It sizzled hot, Lyra tinged in pain of it's presence, it scorched the island, just by existing, the cracks weren't of damage, but of release. Jeta's heart was full of fury, he released the hellish blue flames around them consuming all in his wake. Bystanders below stared in marvel at the spectacular of a bright blue flame in the skies above, the bright display of pure wrath incarnate. Back up in the sky Jeta and Lyra fight more viciously and the flames burn brighter as Jeta moves faster with the flames intensity and him as one. He dances with the flames subconsciously as he slashes Lyra apart limb from limb. For the first time in his life he felt free, he felt alive like a free flame who escaped its cage, that spread like wildfire. He slashes at her eye leaving a blaze to spread on her face burning the flesh cleanly off, she screams in pain as it melts. Lyra repeatedly tries to slice Jeta's legs but he's continuously evading calmly with each step. He raises his blade, the blue flame radiates brightly enough to be a beacon up in the milky way, he moves it down slowly. Lyra shudders as she falls to her knees, shes out cold, nothing more than an inactive corpse.
Jeta walks away from her. He stumbles as the ground below him shakes, not just the ground the whole island was falling apart, it was falling to the world below. Jeta struggled to maintain his balance as he was in an exhaustive stupor, he picked up his blades and slowly walked to the edge of the island. He falls off back first down to the city below, he smiles victorious of his efforts and rests his eyes as he falls to the city below. The bright blue flames was just a tranquil flower now, his rage has been burnt out and he was at peace.
All while the giant island was fall down below, Aria was pulverizing chunks of rocks with her railrifle, she was trying to mitigate the leftover debris from falling to the city below. With her keen eyes she notices Jeta falling from the island. She rushes and drops her rifle and leaves Fey to handle the rest. She jumps high and from her spine; a pair of techno organic butterfly wings emerge, pulsating with glowing yellow veins. She soars to grab Jeta, who was unconscious, and flew towards the ship. Kara notices Aria's arrival and eyes Jeta in her arms. The two rest Jeta alongside Hal, Jeta reaches out for Hal's hand subconsciously, after noticing its now fleshy, and holds it tightly. "That idiot." Aria chuckles to herself. "I want my answers, who are you people?." Kara stands up to interrogates Aria. "We are fragments. The 7". Kara stops and ponders, "thats what the man in the street said, fragments, like pieces of something big. Was she, herself one of them?" She thought. Aria showed her the mark on her neck, it resembled a 2. Unlike Hals mark it pulsated with a yellow glow instead of a soft red. "Fragments are born with the markings, they were whats left of when we were gods and we ourselves were pieces of the original deity." Aria explains. She reaches down and tilts Jeta's neck it revealed a bright hot sizzling azure mark numbered "1". Kara was taken aback from the marks. "What do these numbers mean though. Do I have one too?" Kara prods further with her questioning. Aria hands her a mirror from her left pocket and instructs her to turn her neck left. Kara's eyes lit up in wonder as she discovered she had a mark too. It was a radiating green light resembling the number 6.
"The numbers are based on what branched out from the original first." Aria turns to point to Jeta. "In his past life he branched out first." Kara was confused, if they were gods why are they mortal now? " Lyra killed her fellow gods, Hal here sacrificed his godhood to revive us as mortal beings." Aria takes out a granola bar and starts munching. "We the 7 were branched off of the deities original desires, others branched off later on. Jeta here is wrath, Fey over there is gluttony, Hal is sloth, Lyra is lust, and I am envy, making you greed."
Aria says face full of granola. "Why not pride?" Kara asks curiously. "Pride exists but he's off the grid. Leaving you as the little treasure hoarder." Aria grins cheekily, Kara wasn't amused.
The two then get interrupted by a giant column of flame as large as a skyscraper that eradicates the leftover debris. It was from Fey he was a phoenix after all, he hoists up his blade triumphantly and smiles over the rubble. He strolled past the rubble paying no attention to Lyra on the ground. He leaps up to the roof and lands nimbly despite his size. "Lets get out of here." Aria commands the group inside and she gets in the cockpit. She closes the airship door with all them inside and revs up the engine. Fey sees Kara and with the excitement of the prospect of a new friend greets her. "HEY IM FEY! Nice to meet you!!" He happily shakes her hand in a rather animated fashion. Kara herself was taken aback by the up front friendliness of Fey despite his size. Kara herself was pretty tall, it shocked her of how a member of his species towered over him and was a hulking giant.
"Im... Kara." She answered with a mix of confusion and taken aback by his upbeat personality. They sat down in the awkward silence, humming of the machinery only made the situation worse as the time passed by. Fey was smiling spacing out in his own little head. The ship shakes as it lands. Aria pulls the hatch open and steadily the ships door descended. Aria and Fey started to lift Jeta up and walk down to the cabin. Kara begrudgingly lifts Hal up tenderly. For now, this is home..
