The sky was darkened, the full moon was out, the city lit up by streetlights and cars, straying away from the main streets dark alleyways of gentle shade were exempt from the light. In the darkness, blue lines illuminated a figure. Its eyes opened, it was Jeta...
A pair was running across rooftops towards the palace. It was Hal and Jeta. Hal kept up his pace as Jeta ran gracefully rooftop to rooftop. Several armored soldiers, fellow fragments intercepted the two and stood on several of the buildings...
"Well well well, if it isn't the Azurian". A voice emerged from one of the squadron of soldiers. It was a rather short man, silky smooth and well groomed black hair, he donned a rather black baggy robe of a priest with a mask style red stitching on his left side. His eyes grey with red slits like snakes, he smiled looking at Hal as he pushed past the crowd. He walked with a rather odd staff cane. It was made of a hard metal lined with dark red cracks leaking with black ooze. Jeta and The man who seemed no older than Hal opposed eachother blades ready and eyes locked. It was a standstill. "Men! She wants the kid alive." The man commanded, they charged at the duo, Jeta started rushing and clashing blades with them. Hal dived in with his blade but the man stood in front of Hal. "As much as I wanted to kill you, there will be no bigger pleasure for me than seeing your fate with Lyra." The man monologue ended when he paused. "There are fates worse than death." He sadistically smiled just as much as Lyra did. "Who is he?". Hal asks cautiously. "Vrykos." Jeta growled while kicking a soldier to the ground.
The soldiers fought fiercely with but Jeta dwarfed them in prowess. He dispatched them, breaking spines with his fists. Tore legs with his blades and kicked away dozens of men. One woman managed to get the jump on him cutting his eye, but he uppercuts her stomach, making her cough up blood. Not killing her but sending her falling to the street below on a pillow truck. Jeta starts punching jaws, flipping people over and knocking people out. He held back his punches not to be lethal but to keep them out of the fight. Hal was left to face off Vrykos. Hal summons a sword of red light like the one he used to fight Lyra.
Hal proceeds to strike at the man, but his sword was stopped. Hal felt an overwhelming darkness, a void that drags everything inside. The man was nearly as powerful as Lyra. He stood still and firmly. Hal felt tendrils grip around his legs and slowly pull down him in the void, it starts to crush him. Hal screams in pain. Jeta notices and rushes to Hal's aid but the tendrils hold him still for the other soldiers to stab at him, he struggles to break free but gets impaled through the chest by a spear from the soldier. Hal squirms as the tendrils shatters his prosthetic causing some light bleeding. The soldiers notice tendrils on themselves as well and scream from the crushing grip, the man is intent on killing everyone but Hal, he laughs maniacally as he gets shrouded in shadow.
"All this time you really are a pain. Why won't you just stop fighting?" The man says frustrated. Hal's bones start snapping, he starts to scream louder. His eyes became bloodshot, and he releases the red mist out of pain from his neck mark, it smothers the roof top. It stings the tendrils causing it to hiss and twitch back. The man hisses in pain and jumps away from the mist, his arm fell off from the exposure, he sprouts black wings from his back and retreats from the mist, flying off to recover from the exposure. Hal staggers back from the broken limbs he sustained, he collapses. The soldiers lay on the floor, Hal proceeds to check them, they lay nothing but bare husks of skin and bone. Various lights of different colors emerged from their chest and faded away in the air. Vrykos claimed their lives for his own.
The stranger's tendrils seemed to have sucked them dry, from what was people was husks of meat and bone. Hal was mortified at the carnage that the man brought, he rushes to check on Jeta, his chest impaled with a spear he bled quite enough. He was unresponsive, Hal panics but Jeta slowly arose, yanking out the metal pole, Hal tries to stop him since pulling out something that impales something isn't a good idea, but Jeta doesn't care, the hole left his abdomen slowly was filled by cells regenerating rather instantly. His skin was good as new, he and Lyra had similar body types.
"Kid, don't worry about me, let's get going." Jeta grumbles. The two reach the last rooftop under the floating island, "How are we going to make it up there?" Hal asks Jeta, concerned at the massive distance between them and the island. "I'll take you there~". A voice descends upon the two. It was Lyra, her grace of the wings and angelic beauty did little to hide her true intentions, her foul mind radiated the scene, her desires oozed out of her like some beast. Jeta bares his blades at her and lunges, she snaps her fingers, and a barrage of lights appear and start bouncing and changing angles and directions like a wild light shows causing explosions and destruction in her wake. Hal collapses from the broken bones dealt to him earlier and he lies on the ground helpless to watch Jeta fight Lyra. Jeta slashes and strikes Lyra violently causing wind to be cut. He lands an upward slash to her throat spattering blood everywhere, but the wound closes tightly. Lyra thrusts her blade, impaling Jeta through the solar plexus, shattering bone, only to be met by Jeta decapitating her scissors style with his two swords.Lyra flies up with her wings to gain the high ground, but Jeta's blade handles shot strings out at her wrapping her with small red wire. Jeta pulled slicing her apart like wire through clay. Sending her falling to the ground she regenerates and pieces her chunks together and jumps up to the rooftop with incredible leg force, "Well aren't you more vicious than usual, that won't change a thing." she swings her sword at Jeta's head, but he lunges forward stabbing her in the chest sending her flying down into the ground. He rips those swords out cleanly and blue flames start burning Lyra.
Jeta stand's triumphantly and reaches in his leg pouch. He brings out a grappling hook and presents it to Hal, "Thats how." Jeta pants from the fight, he tosses the item to Hal, while walking away from Lyra. Within a blink of an eye, Jeta's head fell to the floor. Lyra is standing up blade in hand. Jeta falls to the floor. Hal's eyes widened, "JETA!" He yelled out to the headless body. Lyra cackles and smiles at Hal, she walks towards him. Hal was helpless to see Jeta's blood spurt and Lyra walking towards him, he was laying on the ground helpless and vulnerable.Hal screamed and tried to push Lyra way as she lifted him up, he was faced to face with her once again. "Hey let me go! Put me down." Hal protested squirming to resist her embrace. "You know you wanted this as just as much as me. Stop resisting." Lyra sings with glee and as she holds his head still for her to lean in for a kiss to the neck "What are you doing?!" Hal screams kicking flopping his limbs around, Lyra's teeth develop into fangs. "Don't worry it's just a relaxant for what we're going to do together..." BYANGG!! A beam of yellow shot right through Lyra's skull. Lyra steps back and stumbles dropping Hal.
It was Aria she hoisted a giant sniper rifle over her shoulder. Fey came in behind and smacked Lyra with his broadsword crushing her spine. Fey smiles at Hal. Lyra's anger hissed from out her hair; her rage boiled the area around her she forces her flesh into place. Jeta stood up picking up his decapitated head, he jams it on snapping the neck back into place twisting it around until the spine accepted his head. The three outnumbered Lyra and they stood between she and Hal. They bared their weapons like wild beasts bearing fangs and claws and prepared to do battle with her as a united front. "You really don't know when to quit do you? Very well then." Jeta's eyes flash a brighter blue as he eyes her movements. As if it were a flash of a frame, she sped towards them swinging.THE END
