Sylvie has a husband, Jake Harrison, and a daughter, Julie. Sylvie and Jake argue a lot. Julie overhears their argument. I'd like you to shape a conversation about this conversation. it has to do with Sylvie's job.

Sylvie: (sighs) Jake, we need to talk. It's about something important.

Jake: Sure, Sylvie. What are you thinking about?

Sylvie: I was offered a position in the intelligence unit.

Jake: (surprised) An intelligence unit? That's a big move. But isn't that a good thing? More opportunities?

Sylvie: Yes, it's a great career opportunity. But it also comes with its own challenges. The cases are varied, often involving undercover work, which can mean extended working hours, more risks...

Jake: (worried) Risks? What risks are we talking about?

Sylvie: I'll be working on cases that might be more dangerous. Examples that could include hiding in situations that are unpredictable.

Jake: (concerned) Sylvie, I know how dedicated you are to your job, but our family... Julie needs you, and honestly, I worry about you too.

Sylvie: I see, Jake. That's why I wanted to talk to you about it. This is not an easy decision, especially when it comes to our family.

Jake: (slightly annoyed) And what would you like to do?! Are you inclined to consider the offer?!

Sylvie: (calmly) I'm thinking about it, Jake. The intelligence team saw potential in my skills and I believe I can make a difference here as well. But I wanted to know how you feel about it, about any changes in my role and the risks involved.

Jake: Sylvie, I have always admired your dedication to your work. But I won't deny that I'm worried about what this shift could mean for us. For Julie. We've been through a lot and I just want stability for our family. You know we're not doing very well...

Sylvie: I understand your concerns, Jake. And I value your opinion more than anything else. Julie is always my priority and I refuse to make a decision that could jeopardize her well-being or the stability of our family. And I know what situation we are in. He's been arguing a lot lately... and you know we've been talking about divorce and that...

Jake: It's true. And now she would accept a job as a detective? In the intelligence unit? I don't know Sylvie... I don't agree with that!

Sylvie: (sighs) Jake, the intelligence unit was my dream, remember? And now I got this chance!

(Unbeknownst to Sylvie and Jake, Julie has overheard their conversation and is standing by the door with a worried look on her face.)

Julie: (timidly) Mom, Dad, are you really thinking about...divorce?

*Sylvie and Jake turn to look at Julie, surprised and worried expressions on their faces. The weight of the conversation suddenly takes on a new dimension when they realize the effect their words have on their daughter.)

NEXT MORNING:

Sylvie came up the stairs to the intelligence unit. She saw that some were already here.

SYLVIE: hello everyone

ANTONIO: hey, if that's not our new member! I'm Antonio Dawson.

SYLVIE: Nice to meet you. I'm Sylvie Brett.
