Jake: (entering the police station, visibly frantic) Sylvie, have you seen Julie? She's not at home, and I can't find her anywhere.

Sylvie: (concerned) What do you mean she's not at home? Did you try calling her?

Jake: (frustrated) Yes, I've been trying, but she's not answering her phone. I don't know where she could be.

Sylvie: (worried) Alright, calm down. Let's try to figure this out. When did you last see her?

Jake: She was there when I got home, but then I got a call about a work matter and I got caught up dealing with it. When I finally realized, she was gone.

Sylvie: (angry and concerned) So you left her alone at home, knowing how stressed she's been with everything that's going on?

Jake: (defensive) I didn't think she would just disappear. She's old enough to take care of herself for a little while.

Sylvie: (angry) No, Jake, she's not old enough. She's a child, and she's going through a tough time. You should have been there for her.

Jake: (realizing his mistake) I know, I messed up. I should have been more responsible.

Sylvie: (trying to stay composed) Did she leave any notes? Any indication of where she might have gone?

Jake: I haven't found anything. She must have left in a hurry.

Sylvie: (taking a deep breath) Alright, let's start by retracing her steps. Think, Jake. Where could she have gone?

Jake: I don't know, Sylvie. She's been upset about everything that's been happening between us. Maybe she needed some space.

Sylvie: (concerned) This is not the time for space, Jake. She's missing, and we need to find her immediately.

Jake: I know, I'm worried sick. That's why I came here.

Sylvie: (grabbing her coat) Let's go to the house and see if we can find any clues about where she might have gone. And call the precinct, let them know we're looking for her.

(Sylvie and Jake rush out of the police station, their strained relationship momentarily set aside as they both focus on finding their daughter, Julie, before it's too late.)
