I hadn't anticipated that I'd get blocked from my own bedroom by allowing Em to have free range of our little beta, and yet here I was loitering at the end of a hallway that smelled like a chocolate fountain in an upscale coffee shop.
I'd missed a valuable opportunity when I'd made the Sugar Coated and didn't opt to capitalize on chocolates or coffee. Em would have fit right in.
They'd left the door open to the guest room and Em's perfume seeped into the empty space, it and the sounds they were making. There was an invitation there that I wanted to accept, Andres too by the way he lingered in the arch of the door to his bedroom.
He caught my look with a sharp smile where I stood at the point where the living room became the hallway. He'd shed his shirt and the sweats he was wearing hung low enough on his hips that you could see the line of muscle that dipped below his waistband. I'd give Em his moment tonight, and Delaney her privacy unless she said otherwise. Andres, though wasn't about to be so lucky...or maybe he was lucky depending on what standards we comparing.
He kicked his door open just a little bit, another invitation as he disappeared back into the darkness beyond.
I stalked after him.
His room was dark, a clean modern style that complimented the darker wood tones that were already here in this building when I'd bought it. Most of the decorations were crisp clean lines, that made the pieces that Em had brought into his space much more obvious, like the mug that looked melted on the bedside table or the test tube plant propagation stations.
Andres leaned against the dresser across from his bed. I could see the lines of his back and the bunch of his shoulders in the mirror behind him.
"They're having fun," The darkness in the room ate up any color in his brown eyes until they were as dark as his lashes and the hair on his head, or maybe it was just that his pupils had blown wide at Em's perfume and the way my own scent had filled his room when I'd come after him.
"I'm glad," Em was having more than just fun if the raging lust down the bond was anything to go off of. I worked the button on the cuff of my sleeve, freeing it and then the next before I started to make quick work of the shirt buttons starting at my collar bone.
Andres grabbed the suspenders that had been hanging at my side since I'd pulled them off my shoulders after we'd closed shop to wait for Delaney. He pulled me forward until I was flush against him. He'd have made a wonderful Alpha, I thought, though I knew he didn't want it anymore.
He had the mind for it though, better than me some days. I'd have loved to see him in a rut with all his coiled feral intensity that I could catch behind his eyes. He'd have been a picture. He was a picture, just one with a little too much control in him.
I palmed the line of his cock in his sweats where it was pressed between us. I had to agree with the masses, the grey sweatpants did have a nice utility to them when they hid nothing to the imagination.
"He could send her into a fever," Andres liked to talk too much when he was on the receiving end of things. Like he was trying to talk himself out of pleasure, it had always been his way. I was starting to wonder if it was more of a Beta thing to lean on logic a little more than Alphas or Omegas. We were all creatures each of us animals, no matter what tradition liked to say.
"And she could trigger his heat," I tightened my grip on his cock through the fabric while I nipped at the bite I'd left on his neck and I felt it jerk in my hand.
"That's not fair, Jackson," He rolled his neck but I only bit down harder before I kissed away the ache.
"No 'Alpha' tonight?" I shucked the shirt off behind me left only in my work slacks and suspenders. I wanted to feel the heat of Andres' skin against my own.
