Delaney Linwood
My chest felt warm each time they reminded me that I was pack. I was becoming giddy. As Andres and I walked the short distance from the parking garage to my apartment, I risked brushing the edge of my hand against his. His hand was warm when he grabbed hold of mine and laced his fingers with my own.
I tried to hide my smile but he chased me with one of his until he was walking backward in front of me, pulling me along into the building, "Too cute." His smile was a one-corner affair.
"What?" I could feel my blush across my cheeks, so I looked down at our hands between us.
"Getting shy like that, haven't been around something that endearing for a while. I'll miss it," He tugged me into the elevator and hit the button for my floor, closing us both in the metal box.
"Where's it going to go?"
"It won't last long in a pack, especially not with either Em or Jax," His eyes swept over my body from head to toe and when he leaned against the wall he pulled me against him, "And while I'll enjoy all the benefits it was unbelievably cute to see how happy holding my hand made you," he laughed when I tried to hide my face in the jacket he'd put on before we left, "Look at you!"
I decided I loved Andres' laughter, it was lighter than I'd expected from him. It was carefree. I pressed a kiss to his chest overtop of the pastel button-up.
"Hmmm," he hummed, his free hand running through my hair, "you're lucky I'm a Beta and you only have to deal with a concern about an ill-timed hard-on to hint at how much you're making me want you right now. Otherwise, we'd be risking any old person coming in this elevator and scenting me."
"I'd be more concerned about you trying to fuck me in the elevator if you were either."
"I'm still thinking about it," he didn't though, instead herding me out into the hallway that had opened up before us.
I got that odd feeling again when I stood before my door fumbling with my keys, my hands more shaky than they'd been minutes ago.
"Let me," His dark eyes took in every bit of me when he reached out for the key, slotting it into the door handle and opening it for me. I ducked under his arm and he followed me in, placing the keys in the bowl on the table in the front room, exactly the location that I'd set up for them in the first place.
"What should I be bringing?"
"Would it be bold of me to say all of it? However much you need to comfortably stay somewhere else forever. The lease agreement so we can take it by the main office on our way out?" He shadowed my path through my home with his teasing that lit me on fire and also made my hands tingle with the nerves of such a big change.
I wanted to move in and be with them, that want outstripping my need for structure and consistency. I'd never quite been good with deviations.
He sensed that too, I think while he followed me to the small linen closet where I kept the one bag I owned, "We can start with a few days worth of clothes and soaps and things, toothbrush toothpaste anything like that. If we forget anything we can always come back, you've been right under our nose all this time in this apartment."
He was being kind. It was at least a bit of a drive and annoying to fight for a parking space in the parking garage since no one respected the spot that came with my room seeing as it was always empty; free real estate.
We started in the bathroom because that was easier for me. It wasn't a space that I found myself in all the time. I pulled the shampoo conditioner and soap out of the shower along with the silicon face and body scrubber. Andres shamelessly sniffed everything I handed to him before setting it on the counter ready for organization in my bag.
