Andres Ibarra

"Em, this is just disgraceful," Jax chided as I hauled our less reasonable omega out of the bedsheets that smelled like an orgy.

"Honestly, this isn't even your nest," his hands were tangled in the bedding, the bedspread came with him when I pulled him out. "Look at Doll," his head whipped her way.

She was standing pretty as a picture in Jax's arms his hand resting on the top of her head.

"I don't want to gooooo," Em drew the last word out in a typical omega whine.

"What you need to do is make up your mind. Five minutes ago you were saying you wanted to go home," even I could tell Jax's censure had no back to it. He was going to give in and give Em –and Doll– exactly what they both wanted. "But now you're saying you don't want to leave. Which is it Omega?"

The bedsheets crumpled as he pulled them up under his chin bundling them until he could just barely carry the oversized set.

He was just about to ask when the comedic timing of a god struck and a pair of wrinkled khakis dropped to the floor in the midst of our rag tag group. Four sets of eyes zeroed in.

And very quickly I realized we actually didn't have a single reasonable omega.

Doll shot forward out of Jax's arms and made dove for the pants. It was admirable really, a professional football league really would do well to study her form. She hit the ground on her hands and knees, and any day that picture would have set each of us off.

It was the fact that she managed to nick the pants clean out of the air and started to scramble straight under her bed that had Jax diving after her.

And then it was a mad house and a free for all.

Jax got his hands around Delaney's waist just before she managed to scuttle under the bed, his grunted "Don't you dare" made me fumble Em, which in turn startled Jax enough to try and catch him before he took a knee on the floor despite the fact that it was covered in rugs.

He didn't have near enough hands for it though, and Delaney squirmed out of the one hand still on her hip, digging into the fabric of her pants and shoot right back into the pile of duvets on the bed

When we finally managed to leave her little apartment, Em at least walked himself back to the SUV wearing a cloak made of multiple throw blankets.

Doll hadn't been so lucky.

Jax had dropped onto the blankets and by extension her. The activities last night had helped him part of the way and one of the corners of the fitted sheet had already popped off. He tore the rest off like a mad man and bundled them up, secret omega included, and just fucked off right out the door like a reverse Santa dropping into a home to steal the most precious thing in the house with a lifted sack to boot.

The fact that Delaney got carted out before him was probably the only reason Em agreed to walk out on his own, his priority moreso on her than her nest that he'd taken a liking too.

We were in the parking garage by the time she finally managed to fumble her way to the mouth of the impromptu bag. Her hands exited first to wrap around Jax's neck enough to heft herself up enough that her head could poke out.

Jax rumbled at the contact, and I knew it was because of that bite he was sporting on his shoulder. Neither of the two bastards had put theirs away and if I even mentioned it I'd get some surprised look and a comment about claims and how hot they were.

Whatever they could get their rocks off to a bare neck and I'd enjoy my lewd bond bites hidden in delicate places.

Jax dropped Doll and all of her bedding into the middle row and Em scrambled for the door to pile in with her like I'd have actually raced him for it in the state they were both in. I gingerly hopped in the passenger side.

"I swear to god no fucking in the car while I'm driving."

"Not even a little?"

"God Em, no. Last time was enough, I'm not interested in getting another ticket...Buckle up," He rounded on them in the seat, "Both of you opposite sides no one in the middle seat."

I couldn't help turning as well just in time to catch Em's swansong of trying to bury himself in the bundle of blankets covering his other half. A round of giggles hit the air that at least helped to ease the tension from Jax's shoulders.

We were treading an insanely thin line with Em taking to Doll's nest, he was insanely picky and though it was obvious given the circumstances he'd also had us driving 14 hours north back to his hometown during a particularly bad heat of his and that was a nightmare.

An apartment down the way in comparison wasn't bad, but this was a Beta zoned apartment and I'd imagine the neighbors wouldn't appreciate it being the it spot for a drawn out heat.

The best option for all of us would be to get both of them back to the packhouse and settled enough that once his heat triggered and Doll eventually perfumed they'd post up there and we'd ride it out together.

"Ah! Emil don't make me come back there," He reached behind his chair trying to grab any piece of our rogue omega as the car kicked into reverse. Em studiously evaded him, some naturally honed childhood skill at work.

"Get 'im boss! Eez ducking left get 'im!" My over enthusiastic impression drained the rest of the tension from the car. I'd also take credit that the exasperation Jax finally got from it was what convinced him to return his attention to the road and not get the entire group killed before we even got the chance to experience something as tantalizing as a pair bonded heat.

Not that all the previous heats weren't great, amazing, salacious, and smutty, but I just knew it was going to be wicked to watch the two of them wear eachother out when we didn't have to be supervising them for wandering teeth. I strangled the invasive thought that tried to creep in and wonder whether consequence really would be so bad to just let them bond right now.

It was a blurry line I didn't like to toe and I knew Jax would kill anyone for getting close to it. Delaney had never asked for a bite out of the heat of the moment, even after everything we'd been through she hadn't asked.

I glanced to the line of Jax's profile. It was softer than I'd seen it since...well probably since we'd met her. But even I could tell he harbored a wariness about where he stood in her regard.

I didn't blame him, he'd had a fair amount of disastrous encounters with her, but I didn't get paid to tell him those were all caused by him denying his nature. The rock in his skull would take a few more knocks before that thought managed to sink into it.

My right pocket vibrated, and I pulled out...not my phone, but I did at least know cranky blonde on the screen, she looked a lot like her brother even. I handed the phone to Jax, disconnecting the bluetooth from the car speaker, "It's Bea."

So much for Jax keeping his eyes on the road. The car horn honking from the the SUV swerving though was a nice touch. And it got him back inside the yellow lines of our lane "Bea?" He asked like he didn't believe me.

"You going to answer it or do I need to?"

"You can answer it." It was a bold choice for him really.

I swiped the screen, "Bea, darling."

"I already am and yuou know it Andres. Care to tell me why my brother has been blowing up my phone the last three days when he knew I'd be otherwise engaged?"

"You're got engaged? Who's the unlucky bastard? You know Jax will kill him"

And I had Jax's attention again, as if his sister would have had a secret engagement that she'd hidden from him. He was too easy to tease.

"Ha. Ha. Don't joke, that's manifesting too you know, lover boy. What's got his alpha hackles all raised up."

I smiled watching the way Jax kept shooting glances are way even while trying to parallel park the car in a back alley, "Bea, you will never believe what I'm going to tell you."
