CHAPTER - 8

ARIYA

I opened the first one and it was from Abhir. Smile made its way up to my lips when I read his text.

"Hello fiance"
"Hi"

When I opened the other one I was in shock for few minutes

"Hi beautiful, long time no see tw tum Abhir se shaadi krrhi ho"
"Let's see ke woh tmhein jeet ta hai ya mein bhale tm shaadi usse kro tmhein paonga end mein main hi" *wink*
(Translation- Hi beautiful, long time no see so you're marrying Abhir / let's see who will win you him or me doesn't matter who you marry I'll win you at the end)

I was not able to proceed what's happening and how did he got my number but that was my least concern for now. As a psychologist I can sense that this person is a bad news for me and Abhir both.
I switched my phone off and went to sleep with alot in my head.

"Day of sangeet and Mehndi"

I woke up with a severe headache. I got ready in purple kurta pyjama and went to the kitchen where I found Abhir's mom.
"Namaste aunty" she turned around and smiled.
"Call me maa, mom, amma , ammi whatever just don't call me aunty" she said making me smile and I remembered her words from before. How could I forgot.

'You're stupid' my subconscious mocked me

OH SHUT UP ... and reply to her..

"Okay maa"
"Perfect" she clapped her hands in excitement.
"You're okay na bache?" I smiled slightly at her concerned voice.
"Umm..actually I am having a headache so I was wondering if you got some pill to kill it as you know today is sangeet and mehndi and tomorrow is wedding. I don't want it to get severe"
Her eyebrows scrunched and she sighed "mein Abhir se kehrhi thi itni jldi jldi events nh rkho thak jayegi bachi lekin usko bht jaldi hai" she told me while taking out a tablet.
"No it's fine maa, I agreed too..it's just a normal headache abhi chala jayega"
(Translation- I told Abhir to not arrange  events in this short amount of time, you'll get tired because of it but no he's so impatient / No it's fine maa, I agreed too..it's just a normal headache it will be gone soon)

She kissed my forehead and asked me to go and sit at the dining table for breakfast.
When I walked in the dining room, I saw Pair of hazel eyes full with concern and care.
I greeted everyone and made my way towards the empty chair which was right by Abhir.
He pulled the chair out for me and I sat down.
I looked at him with a raised eyebrow as he was still looking at me.
"I am sorry"
"Sorry?" I asked him in confusion
"I texted you last night you probably didn't liked it that's why you switched your phone off after just saying hi" he explained in a low tone so only I can hear him
I remembered last night and I felt bad for him.
"No you're alright, I- my phone died and then I went to sleep"
"You sure that was the case?" He asked
"Yes.."
"Okay."
"Ariya beta dawai khane kr baad khana" maa said
(Translation- Ariya, take your medicine after breakfast okay?)

"Dawai?" Abhir asked in concerned tone
"Ummm..it's..- Ariya woke up today with a headache and I gave her the tablet she can take after breakfast" maa said before me
Everyone's gaze shifted towards me
"I'm fine really, it's just a normal headache it will go away after I take medicine"
I felt someone grabbing my hand under the table and giving it a light squeeze. I looked and it was Abhir's hand.
I looked at him and smiled.
I took medicine and went to sleep for few hours. I woke up at 2pm and went to take shower. For my assistance the same hair dresser and make up artist came and they dolled me up for the sangeet+mehndi event.
I wore yellow lehnga with a full blouse connecting to my lehnga so I'm showing not a little bit of my waist.
I looked beautiful again and I was satisfied with my look.
