Hongjoong
"This is fucking crazy." Mingi breathed, looking at all of us like we'd agree with him.
Seonghwa stayed closed to San.
Is that why he kept bringing vampires up? Because he knew something I didn't? Because he was one himself?
Wooyoung looked like he was on the verge of passing out. This new information hitting him harder than any of us.
It was all starting to make sense.
The bodies drained of blood. The sudden influx of animal attacks at the beginning of this school year. What Wooyoung saw. How I met Seonghwa in the first place.
Sua and I exchanged a look because she knew as much as I did, and I could see that she wanted to believe. I wondered if it was our age that was making us to naive. Were we so gullible that it was so easy for some of us to believe? Or were we just being provided with enough evidence that this was the only possibility that made sense?
"Wait, earlier on the drive here, you asked me why I had vervain when Hongjoong clearly hadn't. How did you know Hongjoong didn't have vervain?" San asked Seonghwa.
Seonghwa flexed his jaw and his eyes went to mine. He looked around briefly before sighing and walking up to me, our eyes locking again. "Remember what I made you forget."
Like he breathed the words into me, it felt like air rushed through my brain, unlocking parts that had been kept from me.
I blinked at him, my mouth falling open.
He...he drank my blood.
And he fed me his.
"What...wait...am I a vampire?" I somehow managed to say.
He smiled at me, like he found the comment funny. "No, but if you died that night, you would've been."
My eyes widened. "Why didn't you kill me?"
"Because you were nice." He said and San scoffed.
"He really is a simp for nice people." San said and Seonghwa smiled a little.
"You're not actually falling for this shit, are you?" Mingi said. "Vampires? Witches? Are we serious?"
Wooyoung shifted uncomfortably. "I believe him."
Mingi stared at Wooyoung. "What? Why?"
"I saw one. It's what killed my step father, Mingi. I saw it happen." He said, sounding weak like he was afraid Mingi wasn't going to believe me.
"It was a tomb vampire most likely." Seonghwa said, backing away from me. "After the vampire who was in charge of everything lost her leadership role, some of the vampires probably decided they had enough of being locked up and wanted to find prey."
Wooyoung squeezed his eyes shut at the memory. "She was pretty.
He probably thought he was going to get laid.""If he found her at a bar, he would've invited her in." Seonghwa then said which made Wooyoung opened his eyes in confusion. "We have to be invited into homes. I'm just confused why she didn't go after you."
