"You look better in it anyways."
____

I'm woken up by knocking at my window, it's still dark and I turn over to see the clock. 5:30! My moms out of town for the week for some photography gig close by.

I look back to the sheer curtains, pulling them back to see Bax's smiling face. I get up and pull open the window, "What?" We said goodbye to the girls yesterday and i've been in heaven and silence.

"Don't look so happy to see me." He says sarcastically, I frown. "Get up then! We're going to watch the sunrise."

I lay back down and turn over, "No."

"Fine, I'm coming in." He starts to walk around the house and I get up quickly.

"No!" I whisper shout, "Radic I swear if you wake up the Gibsons!" He puts his hands up in surrender and I realize he's only in pajamas. Plaid sweats and gray hoodie.

"Give me a second." I roll my eyes and walk into the bathroom, splashing some water on my face and brushing my teeth. I'm not wearing any makeup but it's not like I can just put some on, I'll look desperate.

I'm wearing pajama shorts that are littered in little flowers and a thin 'shore haven' tank top.

Even though I don't usually care what people think, my mind goes in a spiral of looking stupid without makeup but a loud 'oof!' reminds me that the idiot outside is waiting for me.

I pull my hair back into a messy bun, it's short so some pieces fall out. I've been blonde for about a month and seriously fuck with it.

I step out of the bathroom and Honey is standing there, her arms crossed, "Wren's brother?"

"Shh... he's nice." I shrug and go into my room, pulling on my converse as she follows me.

"I thought I taught you better than this, where are you off too?" Honey raises a brow and I laugh a bit.

"The beach, I promise I'll bring her back in one piece." Bax pokes his head as far as it can go, "Come on Torres we're going to miss it!"

"How do you have so much energy this early?" I groan, walking out the front door and whispering to Honey, "Please don't say anything." She pretends to zip her lips and throw away the key.

I meet Bax out front and his smile makes me smirk a bit, he's holding a longboard, "Not going to surf?" I walk closer, slipping my hands into my pockets, I probably should have grabbed a jacket.

"Nah," he puts the skateboard down and gestures for me to get on it, "Figured it's better just to skate today."

"Should I grab mine?" I turn back.

"No no," He takes my waist and pulls me up onto the board like it's nothing, I look back at him questionably, "What, I haven't skated in a while, I need help?"

I laugh at his excuse as we take off down the hill, i'm standing in between his legs and he snickers.

"What are you giggling at radic?" he puts his hands on my waist, skating back and forth slowly down the hill.

"It's just funny." We turn the corner and I see the beach, "We didn't know eachother a month ago."

"You're such a sap." I reach back and hit him as we get up to the overlook, it's quiet and there's no one else here. There's a small bench where i've sat way too many times last year.

"Well it's like-" he rests the board against the fence, "A month ago I didn't know who you were. And now we're friends! Life is funny like that." I sit down and look at him skeptically.
