Adrien closed the diary, his mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions. He was stunned by the depth of Marinette's feelings, feelings that had been hidden from him for so long. Curiosity gnawed at him, urging him to uncover more about the girl he had cared about deeply, yet never fully understood.

With a sense of urgency, he closed the book and rushed to his window. The familiar transformation swept over him, and he became Cat Noir. The sleek black suit clung to his frame as he stepped onto the windowsill, the moonlight casting a silver glow on his mask. His heart was still heavy with grief, but today it was different. It was as though the weight had shifted, transformed into something else. Determination, perhaps.

He bounded from rooftop to rooftop, the city lights a blur beneath him. The wind ruffled his hair, and his usually sharp green eyes held a hint of softness. It was the first time in months that the breeze didn't sting like a reminder of what he had lost. He wasn't overjoyed, but a glimmer of hope had crept into his heart, nudging away some of the darkness that had consumed him.

Finally, he reached the Dupain-Cheng bakery. The storefront looked just as it always had, but there was a poignant difference. The small 'Closed' sign still hung on the door, a silent testament to the absence of Marinette. He couldn't help but remember the times he had come here, the sweet scent of fresh pastries welcoming him.

Cat Noir took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead. He detransformed, tucking Plagg into his jacket. He pushed open the door and entered the bakery.

"Adrien! Do you need anything, dear?" Sabine's voice carried surprise, her eyes widening as she noted the urgency in his demeanour.

Adrien took a deep breath, his gaze unwavering. "I want to help you with the bakery," he declared with conviction. "I've thought about it and want to follow in Marinette's footsteps. Her designs, her passion, her dedication I know she would be heartbroken if you and her passion were left to crumble. I'm willing to invest to make sure her legacy lives on."

Sabine's eyes shimmered with a mixture of surprise and gratitude as she absorbed Adrien's words. It was as if a ray of hope had broken through the clouds of despair that had shrouded the bakery since Marinette's passing. She had seen her daughter's love for Adrien, and now, in this moment, she saw Adrien's genuine dedication to honouring Marinette's memory.

"Adrien," Sabine said, her voice quivering with emotion, "that's an incredibly generous offer. But are you sure? It's a big responsibility."

Adrien nodded earnestly. "I'm sure. Marinette's passion for baking and her dream of running this bakery meant the world to her. It would mean a lot to me to carry on that dream and ensure that this place remains a tribute to her spirit."

Tom Dupain, who had been quietly listening, couldn't hold back his tears any longer. He stepped forward and placed a hand on Adrien's shoulder. "You're a remarkable young man, Adrien. Marinette cherished your friendship. If you're willing to take up this legacy, we accept your help with open arms."

A/N: Thank you for reading! I feel like this story has come to an end. I want to keep writing but I can't and when I was super involved with it I planned out a lot more but I don't feel motivated to write. At the moment, I'm losing my passion for miraculous so I don't feel the need to write anymore. I used to write because of how much I dreaded waiting for new episodes so I satisfied my desires with a fan fiction. It's kinda sad because I love miraculous so much but I guess I'm just growing up. I know I'm gonna come squealing back when the new multiverse special comes out on the 22nd or something of October. I'll probably get back in my miraculous faze and write more. Obviously I will write sequel chapters and bonus chapters. But for now it's finished! Thank you to everyone who supported and read this.
