Chapter 4|Rumors reek doom

~Location - On the Rooftop~

Time: 12:43pm~

3rd Person POV:

"Jake! Are you up here!?" Hailey quietly shouted as she entered the door leading to the rooftop.

 She ends up looking around for a bit and eventually finds Jake standing next to the wired fence. 

She walked slowly up to him but also keeping her distance just enough so she could hear what he was saying.

She could hear him gently singing to himself as his messy, peach blonde hair softly waved to the beat of his faint, subtle voice.

 The blueberry could feel her cheeks warm up as she sunk into his melody, feeling quite soothed by his voice she listened closely.

She smiled to herself warmly as she watched him sing with such passion, it could put anyone in a trance but it felt like his voice was trying to say something and that it how Jake is feeling...

 It would make sense as she would most likely do the same with her love songs about him.. 

"WAIT! no no no...I don't like him and I don't stand a chance anyways! It's not like he loves me back because he likes Daisy..." Hailey sighs.

 But it seemed this wasn't the case as Hailey listened to his singing. 

From what she could hear, Jake could love someone other than Daisy

 "But it can't be me... what could he see in me anyways." 

It hurt her heart so much...if only he to notice her instead of all the other girls and Daisy so he could fall in love with her and that made her feel a bit of jealously towards Daisy.

As he finished, the blonde boy sighed slightly before being alarmed from the soft clapping that could he heard behind him.

 "H-Hailey? What are you doing here?" Jake quickly asked, his cheeks red from embarrassment and his new growing love for her. 

"Well I came to look for y-you..." Hailey stumbled as Jake walked up to her. 

"You came to look for me? But why?" He asked which made Hailey flinch and blush madly.

 She looked to the side covering her face with her hair, avoiding any awkward eye-contact that was made.

"I-I was w-worried about you. So I chased after you and found you singing up here.." She replied still looking at the ground.

 "I heard your singing and...it was beautiful." She looked up at Jake making them directly stare into eachothers eyes.

They automatically locked their gazes on eachother, admiring the calm silence with the cool breeze brushing their cheeks.
 He couldn't keep his eyes off her glistening, coal eyes and she couldn't keep her eyes off his warm brown, shiny eyes.

They were stuck, staring into one another's hearts and as each minute that passed felt like seconds to them. Jake realized what he was doing and flushed bright red and judging by his appearance, Hailey did too.
