Alarms rang and lights flashed red. Gray coughed and tried to brush off dust covering his clothes.
"Hey! You!" Police yelled around him. He realized they were screaming at him. He gasped. "Shit"
Gray struggled to get up but finally managed, unfortunately, shortly after he tripped over a piece of rubble and fell to the ground.
The police were running towards him and he shut his eyes. Suddenly he got roughly yanked back and pulled around the corner."Wha-?" "Shhhhh" a soft finger pressed against his lips.
His heart started beating faster. "Be quiet or die" a voice whispered against his ear.
The officers passed and he released his breath. Although his heart beat didn't slow down. He looked over his shoulder and saw his jail cell neighbor. The blue haired beauty.
"Who knew you would have such a potty mouth" She pulled away and he looked outside. Gray gasped. The city was in ruins, there wasn't the usual screaming. It was dead silent except for the occasional voices.
He started panicking but he suddenly felt something hard and cold pressed against his temple.
"Alright kid, I can't really have someone ratting me out now can I?" She she looked him in the eye, hand unwavering.
Sweat dripped to his chin, he tried breathing but all he could manage was silent wheezing.
Gun...bullet...shot...dead...dead?...DEAD???!!!
Nonononono...he couldn't die, he had to watch after his sister. He had to finish school and get a high education then get into a good college.
Though, even with all those thoughts Gray still couldn't move.
He then felt something wet dripping down his cheeks. Really?? Are you seriously crying like a wuss in front of a girl?
She scrunched her brows at his expression, but she saw what was in his eyes. Pain, sadness, loneliness. All the feelings she had felt before.
She looked at him carefully, weapon still held up against his head. He reminded her of the ten year old bullied girl who ran away from her abusive home.
Wait, what is she thinking? This kid is just gonna die out in the field. But why was she lowering her arm. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Before she could stop herself her gun was safely put away.
She turned in the other direction and marched forward. After Gray had processed what had just happened he scurried after her.
It was silent until he decided to say something, it didn't have to be long just a small, little...
"Gray"
She didn't speak. But then she slowed down for him to catch up.
She muttered something, it wasn't much. Just a single uttered word, but even then, he smiled.
"Juvia"
Heeeey! Was that okay? I hope so
Ps. I know Juvia said her name last chapter but I edited it because I thought it would be more romantic like this, other than that I don't have much to say so I'll see you next chapter!! *waves* byyyye!
