It Done

Daniel came down from his car when he arrived at Sam's place. He looked up and saw Jeffrey standing next to Sam.

A female maid met him at the door and took him up to the balcony.

Jeffery's back was rested on the balcony wall, "Danny, how are you man?" he said stretching his hand for a handshake.

Daniel returned the gesture, "I did not know you were here..."

"After all those drinks last night... they couldn't go home," Sam replied.

"Wao!" Daniel said.

"You left early. The party just started after you left..." Kelvin added from behind.

"You know, we always allow the ladies to go home before the real party starts..." wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh common, Daniel is not like you people..." Jeff added with a grin.

With a smile, Daniel asked, "What are you talking about?"

They all laugh,

"They are talking about the strippers that came in after the women left," Wale said as he walked in, "because that's how roll..." he added playfully.

With a smile, Daniel said, "Is this what you guys do all day?"

"It's Saturday, Danny boy. We are young and rich...
    What do you do with your Saturday?"

Arching his eyebrow, "Well..."

"I told you he's not like any of you," Jeffrey interrupted.

"Anyway, we work, if there's something to do... Just like right now," Kelvin said sarcastically as he put down his wine glass and took the brown big envelope on the glass table.

" Boys, let them do business." Jeffrey said, "We will be at the bar." They carried their drinks and left.

Kelvin brought out the files. "Here," handed it over to him, "this is the contract. Go through it... I can tell you what's inside, but... it will be better to go through it. So we can discuss the ones that are not okay with you."

After Daniel read through the contract, "It all good with me."

"Perfect. So can we sign?"

"Yes of course."

Kelvin brought out a fountain pen and gave it to him.

"Thanks," Daniel collected it.

As he pressed the top of the pen, a tiny needle came out from the side and stung him, "Ah!" he groaned and dropped the pen.

"What is it?" Kelvin picked the pen up, "Oh, am so sorry, it must have been broken. My wife mistakenly washed it with the suit the other day,"

He glanced back at the rest, who were watching, and removed the pin, "Here, it fixed. So sorry about that."

Daniel collected the pen, "It's okay, stuff like this happens sometimes. "

Right before he signed, a drop of his blood dropped on the paper.

Kelvin smiled deviously. "Yes of of cause."

Immediately after he signed, he looked at the paper again, but the blood was gone, so he thought he was imagining things.

Stretching his hand for a handshake, "Welcome to the group." Kelvin said.

Daniel returned the gesture.

Victoria felt something like a chill where she was sitting with her mother-in-law.

"What was that?" she asked herself.

"What was what?" mother-in-law asked.

"You did not feel that?" she scanned around.

"Feel what?"

"Something has happened," she said, "Where is my phone."

"What's going on?" mother-in-law asked worried.

"I need to call Gloria's school." she got up and ran to the stairs.

"Why what going?" she asked with her gaze following her as she ran upstairs.

She immediately dialed her daughter's school.

"Come," Kelvin said, "Let's join the guys at the bar."

"I can't, I have to get to my other appointment. "

"Oh common, we just signed two years contract. We need to have a glass of wine together.  I believe we will make each other rich."

Daniel smiled, "Just one." he tilted his head and followed him.

When they got to the bar, there was a red wine on the table. Kelvin just took a glass poured it, and handed it over to him.

"Danny boy, have you ever tried cake with wine?" Jeffrey asked, but before he could reply, he added. "Give him some cake."

He collected it and glanced at Jeffrey before he took a bite and sipped from the wine.

"It done," Jeffrey said.

"What is?" Daniel asked.

The school informed Victoria that her daughter was fine after they checked her in her classroom.

Immediately she hung up from the school, he called Daniel.

"Hey babe," Daniel said as he dropped the wine glass.

"Dan, are you okay?" she asked worried.

"Yes baby, am fine."

"What are those noises, where are you?"

His voice stammers, "Well..." he clears his throat, " am at Sam's. I will explain when I get home."

"No...." she whispered.

"Is that Victoria," Jeffrey asked.

"Yes,"

"Let me ask how she's feeling."

Daniel looked a little bothered but  he gave him the phone anyway

"Victoria?" Jeffrey said, "Don't be mad at Daniel, he just branched here to sign a very important contract."

She breathed in and out slowly.

"Are you there? Vic?"

"Yes Jeffrey, I am.
    I told you to touch not the anointed of God, but you will not listen. I'm telling you again for the last time. This soul already belongs to Jesus.

"If you want to take it; you get it from the owner!"

"I already have it Victoria. Don't worry yourself," he said and gave the phone back to Daniel. "I don't think your wife likes us." he smiled.

Daniel sensed something was not right. So he left immediately.

They watched him as he got into his car and drove off.

"It done," Jeffrey said.

"Congratulations Sam. Seven years of riches and connections shall be yours. Aurora shall be pleased."

"I will drink to that!" Sam raises his glass.
