Victoria chuckles, "Since when did any of us sign up for anything? My Bible says, before I formed you in your mother's womb I know you, and already set you apart for a mission. And don't let us forget, the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance."
"But... I was the one who messed up, and that cost me my family."
"Would you rather let God mess up?" she said like a joke, "which I actually believe God doesn't mess up.
"I have come to understand this in my walk with God, —it's easier for Him to use us when we believe we've messed everything up, and seeking redemption.
"But God is God, he has determined everything from the beginning. It is not a coincidence that what happened to you happened to you. — That was why you're the right vessel for this mission.
"Aurora and her cult had brought down many saints of God. And there's no better way to bring down any organization than from the inside."
"But why me? Why must I lose my family for this?"
"I don't know, but I know God is good and he never does evil. It must have been they were destined to die young, so He allowed the devil to break you in all the right places, — and decided to use your broken pieces. There's never a waste in God's hands."
"All this while..." Alex breathed out words as he wiped down his face.
"You must have done something to send a signer."
"Okay babe, what are you talking about?" Daniel spoke up, he was getting all confused with the mission and radio silence. "This is not a movie."
"But you're wrong babe, before a movie becomes a movie, it was written first.
"God is the author of our lives, we're just characters in the script He wrote. Do you think scriptwriters just wrote from nowhere? No.
"My Bible said, He created us like Himself. There's nothing we do that He hasn't done Himself.
"For there is absolutely nothing new under the sun."
"But I did not do anything," Alex said, feeling lost like he was trying to remember something.
"Think. What did you do that connected you to God since you met us?"
"Honestly, since I lost my family, I have not gone to God, — not until, you"
"You prayed?"
"Yes."
" My God!" Daniel breathed out.
"So all of this has been God's plan?" Alex asked.
"I believe so. He planted you there as a spy behind enemy line."
"I have no clue."
Victoria laughs, "Common, will you have agreed if He tells you, 'Hey, Alex, am sending you to an organization where they sacrifice wives and children for wealth, — will you have to agree?"
Alex smiled softly, as he wiggled his eyebrow. "No."
"Jesus never leaves nor forsaken, your prayer was calling out for His help. The minute you shift your attention away from yourself and focus on helping someone else, you get God on your side.
"Remember what Matthew 6:33 says: Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all those things will be added unto you.
"You see, you had chances to call out to him before but you didn't; but I believe all things work together according to God's plan.
"You called at the right time: You are like Peter, when he was drowning and called out to Jesus for help. And just like He did for Peter, He also stretched His hands to you.
