Nora sat comfortably in her cozy holding cell, quietly reading a book. The door slid open, and an annoyed ape in a neatly pressed suit stepped inside, carrying a tea tray. She closed her book and looked up.
Mojo: Madam…
Nora: M-Mojo! You look… well-groomed today. How’s the job treating you?
Mojo: Just splendidly.
Mojo grimaced as he set the tray down on the small round table.
Mojo: I, Mojo Jojo, have been... demoted to mere servanthood until further notice…
Nora: Really now? Any .... particular reason?
Mojo shrugged
Mojo: Fat man’s orders. Never bothered explaining why.
Nora: I see…
Nora nodded slowly before taking a sip from her cup, humming in delight.
Nora: Did you make this? It tastes absolutely exquisite.
Mojo: T-Thank you…
Mojo glanced away awkwardly before clearing his throat.
Mojo: Will that be all?
Nora: You’re free to go, dear.
She gave him a small, polite smile. Mojo quickly turned and exited through the metallic pocket doors.
Robotnik: Watch it.
Only to bump into someone waiting outside.
Mojo: S-Sir…
He stiffened immediately.
Robotnik: Ape… taking good care of my guest?
Mojo: O-Of course…
Robotnik stared at him for a long moment before stepping aside.
Robotnik: Leave.
Mojo: Y-Yes sir!....
Robotnik watched him go before his expression shifted into a wide smile as he stepped inside.
Robotnik: Nora! How long has it been since we last spoke?
Nora: Not long enough....
She crossed her arms, her face forming a scowl.
Robotnik: Now what’s with that look? Haven’t I been a gracious host?
Nora: Gracious or not! I don’t take kindly to people who hurt my family.
Robotnik: OH! We’re still on about that?
He rolled his eyes dismissively.
Robotnik: How many times do I have to repeat myself? It was an unfortunate accident. It’s not like I ordered Metallix to shoot the little alien through the chest.
Nora: That “little alien” has a name, you know.
She shot him a sharp glare.
Nora: Y/n.
Robotnik: Right… Y/n. My mistake.
Robotnik moved his gaze away from the huffing woman.
Nora: You should really get that little devil under control. Then again… I wouldn’t expect anything less from you than creating a monster like him
Robotnik: Oh, you’re one to talk.....
Robotnik muttered as he began to pace around the room.
Robotnik: Especially with that erratic robot daughter of yours. I mean honestly who programs a machine with the emotional instability of a teenager? Too much emotional baggage in my opinion.
