The school's rooftop had always been a sanctuary of sorts for U.A. High's students, a place away from prying eyes and ears, where one could vent, ponder, or simply find a moment of peace. For Bakugou, however, it was currently a place of confrontation and clarification.
The door to the rooftop banged open, and the 'Baku Squad' emerged, the weight of the day's events evident on their faces. Bakugou, visibly irritated and embarrassed by the recent turn of events, was the first to break the silence. "Why'd you drag me up here, huh?"
Mina, ever the initiator, gave Kaminari a slight nudge, signaling him to speak up. After a moment's hesitation, Kaminari finally blurted out, "I might've jumped the gun a bit, Bakugou. I saw Todoroki and that girl hugging, and I just...assumed."
Sero chimed in, "Yeah, and Midoriya later told us she's Todoroki's childhood friend. They've known each other for ages. It wasn't anything romantic."
Kirishima, with his usual straightforwardness, added, "Dude, you made a huge scene without getting all the facts."
Bakugou, feeling the weight of his impulsiveness and the resulting embarrassment, slumped down onto a nearby bench. His face was a shade of crimson, his eyes downcast. "What should I do now?" he whispered, more to himself than to his friends.
The sight of the usually fiery Bakugou, now reduced to a state of vulnerability, was both surprising and endearing. The group exchanged glances, a mix of sympathy and amusement evident in their expressions. Mina, unable to hold back, giggled, "Who would've thought, our Bakugou being all flustered over a crush!"
Bakugou shot her a glare, but it lacked its usual intensity. "It's not funny," he muttered, but his blush deepened, betraying his true feelings.
Kaminari, attempting to lighten the mood, chuckled, "Man, this is one for the history books."
The friends shared a moment of laughter, but underneath it all was a layer of understanding and support. Kirishima, looking thoughtful, said, "You just need to talk to Todoroki, clear the air."
Bakugou looked up, his face reflecting a mix of hope and fear. "How do I even face him after what I did?"
Mina, offering a comforting smile, replied, "Just be yourself, Bakugou. But maybe... a slightly less explosive version?"
