The atmosphere within U.A. High's dormitory had been distinctly tense since the incident. Everywhere he went, Bakugou could feel Todoroki's eyes on him, seeking a moment, a conversation. But Bakugou wasn't ready. Not yet. He expertly dodged any direct interaction with Todoroki, leaving rooms as soon as the dual-quirk user entered, speaking over him, even avoiding meal times.

Night came, and the usually bustling dormitory quieted down. Most of the students had retreated to their rooms, preparing for another day of training and learning. Bakugou, who had remained cooped up in his room, felt the pangs of hunger. He waited until the coast was clear, ensuring everyone had retired for the night.

Silently, he tiptoed to the kitchen. In the dim light, Bakugou began rummaging through the cabinets, looking for a quick snack. However, as he reached for a packet of chips, he sensed a presence. He froze, realizing he wasn't alone.

The soft glow of the refrigerator light revealed Todoroki, leaning against the counter, a half-eaten sandwich in hand. They locked eyes, the silence palpable.

Todoroki, breaking the silence, began, "Bakugou, I've been trying to talk to you."

Bakugou, always defensive, shot back, "Yeah, well, I wasn't ready to listen."

Taking a deep breath, Todoroki said, "Look, I know you've heard about Momo and me. She's just a childhood friend, nothing more. We've been through a lot together, but it's not what you think."

Bakugou, still on guard, replied curtly, "I already know. Whatever. It's okay."

Todoroki, sensing Bakugou's discomfort, decided to push the envelope a bit, his lips curling into a playful smirk. "Come on, Bakugou. Were you about to confess something to me earlier? 'I...' what?"

Bakugou's face turned a vibrant shade of red. He muttered, "None of your business."

Not wanting to let the moment slip away, Todoroki inched closer, their faces just inches apart. "Come on, tell me. 'I...?'"

Bakugou, caught between annoyance and a surge of emotions, hissed, "Shut up, Icy-hot!"

The tension between them was electric. And then, without any further warning, their lips met. It was a brief but charged moment, full of the pent-up emotions of the past few days.

Pulling away, Todoroki, with a mischievous grin, whispered, "Was that what you wanted to say?"

Bakugou, completely flustered, could only sputter, "You... Idiot."
