A marriage alliance for Maheen

It's been two weeks since the marriage and Abiha had already joined her office.

"Taimur let me go na, everyone will again tease me for coming late", said Abiha trying to push her clingy husband who was snuggling in her neck while hugging from behind.

A soft grunt sound was heard from Taimur as soon as Abiha elbowed him making him loosen his hold.

Turning around Abiha pecks him not before dragging him down.

God her husband is worse than a five year old kid. Always throwing tantrums and seeking her attention.

Taimur and Abiha sat on their usual seat. Abiha filled both their plates with food while glaring at her husband who was putting an additional Paratha in her plate. Another thing she has noticed is Taimur always makes sure that she is well fed or more like over fed. He would forcefully make her eat food saying how weak she is looking.

"Attention everyone", said Junaid their grandfather making everyone turn their head towards him.

"We have got a very good proposal for Maheen and are thinking of accepting it", said Junaid with a smile. Unknown to the fact that he dropped a bomb for someone else.

Maheen stared emotionless at her grandfather while Ibrahim fisted his hands and looked at Maheen.

The thought of her with someone else made him want to break someone's jaw.

"Who is this guy abbu", asked Amaan, Maheen's father.

"He is actually a very good guy Amaan and I have high hopes that he will keep our Maheen very happy", said Rubana while smiling wholeheartedly.

"But what's the hurry-", started Ibrahim but got interrupted by Tooba.

"Ammi, I think we should ask for Maheen's decision before finalizing anything", said Tooba who has been noticing Maheen's fallen face since the announcement.

Everyone turned towards Maheen as if asking her to give her decision at that moment making tears to pool in her eyes. Blinking her eyes rapidly she said in a very soft voice that she needed time.

"You can take your time my child, but I hope it's a positive response", said Rubana while Ibrahim's jaw clenched.

The breakfast resumed but two people lost their appetite.

Bidding farewell Maheen went out to go to her college, Ibrahim left after her. Before Maheen could go with the driver, Ibrahim dragged her and made her sit in his car.

Both of them were quiet, one because of anger and the other in sadness.

"You are saying no", said Ibrahim all of a sudden making Maheen close her eyes as a tear rolled from her eyes. Ibrahim stopped the car noticing her crying.

"Maheen" he called very soft making Maheen cry with hiccups making Ibrahim panic after seeing her state.

"Don't cry Maheen, you are making me reckless", said Ibrahim.

"I-I-do-don't-wa-nt-to-mar-ry-him", said Maheen while hiccuping.

"You won't my love, I won't let anyone take you away from me", said Ibrahim while patting her head lovingly. By now Maheen was hugging Ibrahim tightly as if he would disappear.

"Promise" she uttered almost immediately making Ibrahim nod his head in assurance.

"Allah, all your makeup is ruined, you look horrible", joked Ibrahim making Maheen to hit him by her small fist which earned her a chuckle from him.
