This whole meetup went completely south, just as the others told me. The vampires had completely set us up. At least my counter gave us some wiggle room, despite the fact that I'm being held up by my shirt. I watched as the Queen drew me closer to her as my siblings yelled for me. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch a bat fly over and land behind the Queen.

"Mother, stop this! It doesn't have to be like this." the bat yelled as they transformed into what looked to be a teenager. Wait..did they just call the Queen, Mother? That means..it can't be...Xavier?

"I don't want to hear your pleas. You are a traitor amongst your own, for wanting to spare this pathetic girl. You are no son of mine, this will end right here, right now" she yelled as she slammed me to the ground. I could feel pain shoot up my arm as I tried to brace myself.

"No!" I heard someone shout as I felt arms around me, pull me up. I looked up to see Xavier, holding me up. What is he doing, is he trying to upset his mom?

"I knew it, you miserable traitor! You care more about that wolf than your own family." she berated as she once again lifted me into the air. I winced as pain continued to sting my arm, indicating that it could be dislocated or broken.

"I care about everyone, Mother. Not just her, this war is tearing everyone apart, can't you see." he cried as he gestured to all the fighting happening around us. The Queen threw me at Xavier, to where he caught me and set me down, standing in front of me. The two of them argued as I tried to look over the chaos for my siblings. I spotted Katelyn, being pinned down by a vampire trying to bite her.

"Katelyn! Wolf it!" I shouted hoping she could hear me. I saw her look over at me and howl, only for her to grow more fur and her eyes to start glowing. She knocked the vampire off of her and charged at them. I sighed in relief, that she's ok. That's when it hit me, a scent. And not just any scent, but a scent I don't recognize. I looked over the crowd and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. That was when I noticed a glint of a shiny object, I recognized that glint.

"Xavier, get down!" I yelled as I got up and shoved him out of the way, only to feel a pain shoot into my chest. It was then like time had stopped for me. I slowly looked down and saw a small stake sticking out of my chest.

It was then I recognized the scent...humans..

"Everyone, get out of here! There's humans coming!" I managed to yell out as I weakly fell to my knees. Wolves and vampires all started to scatter back to each other's territories as more stakes went flying towards us. I noticed that the Queen and Xavier were still staring at me and the chaos that was unfolding.

"Xavier, get you and your mother out of here. They're trying to kill vampires." I groaned as the pain started to set in.

"I'm not leaving you! I'll help you." he protested as he grabbed my bad arm.

"OW!" I cried out as he quickly released me.

"You can't stay here, just go. I'll be fine" I argued as I tried to stand only for another stake to shoot into my leg. I just can't seem to catch a break, these days. I see Xavier fall to the ground, a stake sticking out of his arm.

"NO, Xavier!" I shouted as I tried to crawl over to him. He rips out the stake, with a cry and tosses it.

"We need to get out of here! They're starting to close in on us." he yells. I noticed the Queen staring at us, before shaking her head and flying off in her bat form. I felt weak and tired as I turned onto my back and slowly that darkness started to set in. I heard shouting as I felt a hands on me, shaking me. It didn't feel like I was dying but the pain was overwhelming. I hope to Luna, that my family is safe and that Xavier runs. But all I can think about right now is...sleep.

Xavier tried to carry Zarya away but to no avail. Another stake struck him in his shoulder and he fell back. When he looked back to his friend he noticed that she had lost her ears and tail and looked more human. He didn't want to give up but he was weak, he didn't have the strength to get both of them out of there. He used his own body to shield his friend as more stakes rained down, he gritted his teeth as he felt some stab though his back. He heard someone shout but he put forth no effort to hear them as he felt himself lose consciousness.
