The two groups met at the border just as discussed, the vampires already waiting. They watched as wolves started appearing, making a path for their newly appointed alpha.
"Here she comes, be ready to execute the plan, son." the queen hissed towards her son, as they both made their way forward. Xavier nervously looked at his mother and then towards the approaching alpha still covered by the night's darkness. The vampire prince tried to control his eagerness to see her, his old friend. He could only wonder what she looked like while he was trapped at the castle. Soon 4 slightly large wolves approached them and transformed to their human form. Their alpha now approaching, their blue fur almost glowing in the moonlight.

Here she comes, I can see her blue fur from where I stand. This is it, I can finally see my childhood friend. As she walks up, she transforms into her human form. I can see the scars that litter her body from different attacks, some most likely from that day. Her fierce bright blue eyes felt like they could cut right through me.
"Queen Ambrosia, I see that you couldn't wait to meet since you want to meet a week in advance." she spoke as she dusted herself off and fixed her hair.
"I rather not give you any time to set up an attack on my people." mother retorted.
"I understand, but I can assure you. I'm not planning any attacks against you. I wanted to meet with you, about coming to a truce." she responded while extending her hand. A truce? Was she trying to surrender?
"A truce with you? What are you trying to pull off here?" mother exclaimed.
"I'm not trying to pull anything, I want this war to end. We both have lost numbers of our people and if this war continues that number will continue to grow. So why not just end this here." she responded. I looked at my mother and couldn't read the expression on her face. This is bad, mother already has her plan in motion, all for Zarya wanting to stop the war. I look back at Zarya and notice that she's looking right back at me. Her stare wasn't welcoming at all, she looked serious. Did she know that I killed wolves before? She couldn't, right? She looked away from me as she spoke again.
"Listen mutt," my mother spoke and I could see the others around her growl and tense up, only for her to wave a hand to calm them down.
"What will you do to get me to agree with this truce you speak of." mother continued.
"What do you mean? Everyone will be at peace with one another, isn't that enough?" she answered.
"For me to merely tell my people that we won't be fighting you anymore isn't a simple walk in the park. They'll want something in return, especially after all the losses that your runts caused them." she continued as she dusted something off of her. Zarya frowned at that, and the wolves around her started growling again.
"We lost just as many to your kind." One of the wolves next to her argued.
"Yeah, you can't expect anything from us, when you do the same." another shouted. Mother simply scoffed and crossed her arms, with an amused smile.
"Queen Ambrosia, what are you expecting from me? You can't deny that your people have taken lives of wolves, just as wolves have taken lives of vampires. All for the same reasons, the war, survival and to protect the ones they love. You can't hold us accountable, when you have done the same thing." Zarya argued as she quieted down her pack. My mother nudged me, which was her way of signaling me to start the plan. I wave my hand high enough for the vampires behind me to move into position.
"I'm not blaming vampires and I'm not blaming wolves, we all are to blame for the deaths and the destruction of one another's home. If we come together then we can rebuild a bigger and better life." she spoke as she put her hand over her chest. That's when I noticed it, the ring on her finger. That was my ring, she actually kept my ring, even after her father's death. I wanted to take back what was about to happen, but I knew that I couldn't, it was too late. Before I knew it, I heard howling in the distance. Mother and I looked back to see vampires scurrying out of the forest and down the border.
"Sounds like you tried to break our agreement, Queen Ambrosia. You tried to station vampires along the border to attack me." I heard Zarya scoff. Mother glared at her with anger written across her face.
"How'd you know about my plan! Is there a traitor amongst my people!" Mother shouted as she whipped around to look at our group. All of them cowarded at her outburst and shook their heads, denying the accusation. Mother then looked at me.
"You! My own son, did you betray us? Don't think I didn't notice, how you were looking at her and that ring on her finger. I recognize that ring anywhere, that's the Bloodstone Ring, a communicator and power transferer." she shouted at me. Zarya looked down at the ring and then at me.
"No, mother. I didn't tell her anything, you had me under watch the entire time. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to share your plan. I never saw that ring before, I never gave it to her." I pleaded as she towered over me.
"Lies! She could never simply find a ring such as that one, unless she broke into the castle and stole it. I will deal with you when we return home." she scolded as she slapped me across the face, knocking me off the platform.
"Enough, Ambrosia! This is your final chance to make things right. Agree to the truce and all will be forgiven." Zarya yelled as she once again put out her hand.
"We will never stoop down to your level, mutt. This will end here and now." Mother shouted as she used her telepathy to lift, Zarya by her shirt into the air and moved her closer. The other wolves reacted swiftly and charged at mother, while our forces also charged at them. I tried to make my way back onto the platform but everyone kept fighting in front of me and blocking the way. I saw her struggling to get out of the hold of my mother.
I wasn't about to lose her again, not this time.
