"So I have to meet him in about 30 minutes give or take at his place. Want me to drop you off near by?" I asked Michael while jumping into the driver's seat.
"Are you nervous? he asked, while buckling his seatbelt. "But just drop me off at the nearest mall, it'll give me something to do."
"Of course I am, Michael!" I dropped my face into my hands. "But okay that sounds like a plan, the nearest mall is about 15 minutes from his place." I said looking up.

"Mija! Robin explained the situation! I'm still wrapping my head that you're here!" Robin's mom hugged me.
Don't cry, Stella. Don't cry.  I hugged her back. We both sat down on her comfortable navy blue couch. Gosh this couch is so comfy, makes me forget I was sitting on a hard car seat for 19 hours.
"Yeah, so honestly I don't know what to do. I'm lost, I still need to find a job, I still need to do—"
"Don't worry! Please stay with us, you can sleep in Robin's bed. But no grandkids yet, I'm still too young." Robin's mom laughed heartedly. "Let me just let the landlord know, ya sabes como están with guest. You need just a month, are you sure?"
"Give or take." I responded. "Thank you, seriously I owe you so much once I'm back on my feet!"
"Mija, don't worry about it! We're in the beginning of September, so how about I let the landlord know you'll be a guest until hmm, mid November? It'll give you time just incase! Besides ven aquí," she motioned for me to get closer, "I like you A LOT more than Robin's last novia." she shuddered. We laughed. "Between you and me, I think I like myself way more than her too, she was horrible to him right?" We chuckled some more. "I don't know what'd I do if Robin ever went back to her—"

"Okay, anyways don't you have to drop off Michael at the airport soon?" Robin interrupted our conversation clapping his hands.
"Oh my God, yes. I have to pick him up from the mall. Thank you again. I'll see tonight then? I just have to stop by and get a storage for my things." I got up from the couch.
"Of course, mija. See you tonight!"
"Want me to walk you to your car?" Robin asked.
I gave him a puzzled looked. He never asks to walk me to my car. He usually just does it.
"Um, yeah. Of course if you want! I know this is a lot for you to take in babe!" I replied.
"Okay. let's go." he mumbled grabbing his apartment keys.

I turned on my car and connected my phone to Michael's pick up location.
I looked out the window. Robin was leaning against it. I missed him so much. I couldn't believe I'd be able to stay with him for a while! I mean being long distance for a year wasn't easy. All the times I couldn't hug or kiss him. All the times I wanted to be with him. Not to mention all the money we spent on hotels and flights to see each other. This was a dream come true. I was finally here. I was finally able to hold him. I'm crazy about him and I always hoped he felt the same way.
"Alright. Um. I'll see you tonight, okay? Be safe." Robin spoke up after what seemed for while.
"Of course! This is exciting, Robin. Our future is coming together!" I squealed.
"Sure is." he gave me half a smile. "Okay, um tell Michael I said hi."
"I will." I smiled. I leaned out the window to give him a kiss.
He stepped back and patted my car. "I'll see you tonight." He walked back into his place.

I sat back in disbelief. Was he not excited? I moved here and he seemed like he didn't want to see me. Maybe he's in shock? Maybe he's just trying to process everything the way I'm trying to. I kept coming up with excuse to his reaction on the way to pick up Michael. I'm sure as hell not telling him about the interaction. I know he'll use it against Robin and just tell me again how he's no good for me. Still, why did he act like that? I tried everything to process his reaction. But I couldn't. It bothered me the rest of the day.
