I was awoken by banging on my car window.
"Stella! Open up! Look can we talk about this?" Robin yelled from outside the car. I saw his eyes shift to the pill bottle I was still holding onto.
"Stella! Stella! What the fuck did you take?" I heard panic in his voice as he tried opening the car door.
"Go away, Robin." I groggily replied turning away from the window. Gosh I knew that medication wasn't going to overdose me but now I have a raging headache and I'm drained."Mija," I heard Robin's mom's voice calmly call out, "Please come home, it's late." She was standing next to Robin.
"I can't," I groggily replied to his mom "I took.. some pills. I'm really sleepy." My eyes started closing.
"Please let Robin drive you back ho—"
Before she could finish her sentence my eyes shot wide open and I jerked up in my seat.
"With all respect, FUCK NO!" I raised my voice at her.
"Please, Stella. We both have work tomorrow. Don't do this." Robin gritted his teeth.
"Fine, but only because I don't want your mom being tired for work." I mumbled as I opened the door.
"Keys." Robin held out his hand.
"Fetch." I replied as I threw them in the opposite direction.

The ride home was silent. I didn't want to speak to Robin. Even when he tried, I shut him down immediately. I had so many questions, so many thoughts running through my head. We finally pulled up into the parking lot. Robin stayed silent hanging his head while holding on to the steering wheel. He rose his head and opened his mouth to say something. I quickly opened the door and slammed it in his face before he could say anything. We finally got inside. Robin's mom sat me down in the chair.
"Mijo, bring Stella some water, now." She demanded sternly.
She turned to me, "You're going to drink all the water he brings. I don't know why you took those pills, but it's not a reason you hear me? I can tell it made you super sleepy, Stella." She sighed. "Tell me, why?"
As she asked that question, Robin came back with a glass of water and narrowed his eyes as a way to tell me not to tell her.
"Well," I chuckled. "Your son decided to cheat on me with his ex." I laughed, looking at him then back to his mom. That sounded so ridiculous coming out of my mouth.
Her eyes widened as she turned back to Robin. "What? Mijo, is this true? What is the matter with you. Que chingados, Robin?!" I never heard his mom cuss, I was loving it. "Ya sabes como odio a esa mujer." She continued. "Mija, I'm so sorry. I thought I raised him better." She hugged me crying. She looked at me with remorse in her eyes. She wiped her tears then mine. "Stella, you're everything I wanted for Robin. You're hard working, you treated him so much better than his ex, you loved him the way he deserved to be loved. I'm sorry he did this to you, I'm sorry that this might be the end."
"It's not you're doing," I assured her, wiping my tears away. "It happened, it is what it is." I whispered.
"Robin, seriously?" She turned to him. "You knew better. Your dad did the same to me multiple times, that's why I left and came to the states. Your brother went through the same with his ex!" She bowed her head into her hands. "I'm so disappointed. I don't know what to think. I don't what to say to you, Robin! You know your ex is worthless, she had no future, she didn't love you." She sighed. "I...I don't know what else to think or say. But I'm not done talking to you, Robin. I'm very disappointed."
Robin's mom turned back to me and hugged me. "Stella, I understand if you don't want to be with him anymore. I'm going to let you guys talk this out." She left the room. Leaving Robin and I staring at each other.
