"Your gonna do great, deep breaths." Sasha said looking at herself in the scratchy silver bathroom mirror. "Just go out there and do what you do best." She continued, grabbing the slim copper handle to open the bathroom door, stepping back into the large room. She made her way a crossed the building and sat into a chair that had the name 'Brandy' on the back of it. "Are you alright?" A voice said, coming up beside her. "Yeah, I'm just a little nervous." Sasha muttered while rubbing her thighs. "It's completely normal, your going to do great. Just remember, we wouldn't have chose you for this role if we didn't think you were the best fit." The person said, lowering their headset and clipboard down to their side. "Thank you Andrea." Sasha said, giving her a slight smile. "No problem, we start shooting in 5." Andrea said returning the smile and raising her headset back up to her ear before walking over to the rest of the cast who were all gathered and talking to the director.
"2 Minutes!" A voice rang over the intercom followed by a loud bell. "Alright Sasha, let's go." Andrea said passing by, heading to behind the monitors. "Let's do this." She said so herself, getting out of her chair and walking onto the set. She took a seat onto a beige recliner next to her cast mates. "Quiet on set! Ready, action!" The director shouted from behind a double stacked row of monitors, giving him a view from each of the cameras. Sasha sat, watching her cast mates say and finish their lines until it was her line. She froze, forgetting her lines. "Psst." Her cast mate whispered, waving his arm out of the cameras view to try and get her attention. "Cut!" The director shouted, getting up from his chair. He waved his arm gesturing for Sasha to come over to him to which she did.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what's going on with me." Sasha said approaching the director. "That's alright, it's your first day here and I get it your nerves are just up. Things like this can be a little jarring for anyone, especially when it's their first time with a larger role." The director said while putting his hand on her shoulder. "Take a few deep breaths and you'll be fine." He followed up with removing his hand and sitting back onto his chair. Sasha walked back over to her spot and took a seat on the couch once more. "Quiet on set, and...action!" The director yelled. Sasha watched her cast mates say their lines until her turn finally arrived to speak. "Betty, you have to think of this from both sides. Whatever you decide, I just hope its the right decision" Sasha said, remorse in her voice. "Cut!" The director shouted, locking eyes with Sasha and giving her a grin.
"That was great!" The director said as he walked up to the couch Sasha was sitting on and slowly leaned against the arm rest. "Thank you, I just kinda...went to my happy place and didn't think about the rest of the cast watching me." Sasha said turning towards the director with a smile across her rosy cheeked face. "I'm glad, you have a lot of talent. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll end up doing great things." The director said leaning off of the couch and walking back over to the row of monitors and sitting back into their seat. Sasha stood up from the couch and made her way to a table along the edge of the room lined with food and drinks. She grabbed a paper cup in her left hand and a metal spoon in the right from a large plastic bowl. She filled up the paper cup with red punch from the juice bowl. "That was great girl!" Andrea said while grabbing a plate from the end of the table and piling food onto it.
"Thank you Andrea, I really appreciate your sincerity." Sasha said, smiling at her while raising the cup of juice to her mouth for a sip. "I told you that you could do it, sometimes you just need that extra nudge of support when your nerves try to creep up on you." Andrea said looking over at her from the corner of her eye with a smirk appearing on the corner of her red lipstick covered mouth. "Well it helped me a ton." Sasha said as she finished her juice. She tossed the cup into the semi filled matte black trash can. *DING* Her phone went off sending a slight vibration across her thigh. She reached into her black jean pocket and pulled out a purple phone with a sticker covered case on the top. 'Once in a lifetime opportunity! "Interesting." Sasha said to herself rereading over the email once more. "Couldn't hurt anything, I'll give it a try." She said clicking the email link and filling out the form to enter for a spot. She finished the form and slid up on the emails, closing the tab before opening a new one. 'Trever Holthum' She typed into the search bar then clicking enter. "Holy shit." She mumbled to herself as she scrolled through the long list of hit movies and tv shows that he had produced over the span of his 40 year long career. "Hey Andrea!" Sasha called out. "Yes Sasha?" Andrea said approaching her side. "Do you know who Trever Holthum is?" Sasha asked as she slid her phone back into the front pocket of her jeans. "The real question, is who hasn't heard of him!" Andrea said excitedly. "He's one of the film industries best producers. I've worked on a few of his film sets and he is just...amazing! Why do you ask?" She continued. "I was just curious, his name seemed familiar." Sasha said looking over at the the director who had started shouting. "Quiet on set! Ready, Action!"
